This hotel is perfectly placed for exploring the main centre of Cartagena including the many archaeological sites and the port, with everything within walking distance. The hotel itself was absolutely fine and represented very good value for money. The room itself was good although the bathroom could have done with a bit of modernisation. For the price of the room thought, it was more than adequate. The Hotel restaurant served great food at very reasonable prices and the terrace outside was perfect for breakfast in the morning and relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening. We only had one problem during our stay which was swiftly rectified by the hotel reception manager. To summarise, a great value, perfectly located hotel, ideal as a base for exploring the city of Cartagena, we would definitely stay here again on our next visit…

Stinky hotel with mold. Helpful staff does not help the general feeling of decay, and the smell in the room is really very bad. The food in the restaurant was very nice but still the total is not good.

We were very impressed with this excellent hotel. It is ideally located five minutes walk from the bus station. All the staff we dealt with were pleasant and spoke fluent English. The breakfast was adequate. The hotel is an easy 15 minutes walk to the centre of Cartagena. We would highly recommend it.

Hotel is perfect for the price. Room cleaned daily, everything was spotless. Bed not the most comfortable as mattresses were quite hard. Bathroom was a great size. We had a huge balcony which we were not expecting!! Overall a great stay. Location was great. 5 min walk to the main area. Free car parking spaces to the side of the building. Would definitely recommend staying here

Close to the railway station, this is a great hotel. Excellent cafeteria / restaurant on site, which is used by the locals (always a good sign). Staff very pleasant, giving excellent service and looking professional at all times. It looks as though it is having a refurbishment at the moment, as the front of the hotel was being painted. Did have problems with noisy neighbours, but to be honest this is outside the control of the hotel staff. Reception staff were helpful in the early hours. Would recommend and would stay again.

Very nice hotel with wonderful and very helpful staff. Also the location is the best, my room on third floor was beautiful, spacious and it had balcony with beautiful view. Room was very clean and it was maintained clean every day during my visit

We spent 5 nights in room 330 and loved it. We had the biggest bed I have ever been in, an enormous bathroom on the quiet side of the hotel, big windows with quite a nice view. The room felt like a home from home, was kept spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. One of the best and unexpected things is that the hotel has a cafe/restaurant attached called La Posada which is open to non residents and plenty of Spanish people pop in for morning coffee or to meet their friends so you feel part of the life of the country around you. We didn't plan to have breakfast at the hotel but it turned out to be the best option because the choice and atmosphere was so good. We ate supper on 3 of the 5 evenings in La Posada and would thoroughly recommend it for quality and value for money. This hotel is under 10 minutes walk to the famous harbour, minutes from the bus station and a very easy walk to all the main tourist attractions. It is at the edge of the old port city so you get the best of both old and new worlds. This hotel suited us perfectly because we like to be in a hotel which feels local/family run and feels a part of the community around it. If you have dinner in the hotel I would recommend the seasonal salad to start and one of the fish options for the main course. PS We flew into Murcia International airport and the most practical way to get to Cartagena & the hotel is a taxi for around 45 euros which takes under 30 minutes. There is a big taxi rank when you step outside the airport.…

Excellent location in centre of the city and off street parking available. 10 min walk to Roman amphitheatre and old town. Friendly staff and efficient check in. Rooms comfortable and plenty of room. Breakfast buffet was good and you ordered what you wanted at the counter, perhaps a covid related change. We also ate in the bar in the evening and this was excellent value and good quality. We will definitely go back there again the room price was excellent value.

Excellent location. Situated in the heart of Cartagena, the hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from train n bus station, The University, shopping mall of Carrefour n Corte Anglis, as well 10 minutes fm Plaza Sebastian, and waterfront. So if you are a tourist or at a conference, it saves time n money. The breakfast spread was good. There are no electric kettles in rooms or tea n coffee. However when we requested one the staff was helpful n provided one to us. The room was cleaned everyday n fresh linen provided. The restaurant serves good food too so if you would like a late dinner you need not venture out. The hotel is old hence no exhaust in bathrooms and some lobby n corridor carpet refurbishing would help. I also suggest duvets be provided, not just blankets as with the aircon at an environment friendly setting of 25 degrees, duvet would be comfortable but a blanket makes it hot in bed. Rooms and bathrooms are quite big n accomodative compared to other hotels in town.…

Hotel is easily accessible for those arriving by train or by car, with hotel parking available for 12 euros/day, and is well-located to the city centre and main sites of interest. Check-in was efficient and we were provided with map and information on the Semana Santa processions for which Cartagena is renowned. Our large room with balcony was well-furnished and comfortable. Despite relaxation generally of covid restrictions, the hotel still operated a request system for breakfast, which presented a few difficulties due to our lack of Spanish. Quality and quantity of food was good, with a range of hot and cold options, and its popularity was evident from the number of non-residents walking in.
