We also arrived with few expectations and the truth is that we found this place too remote. I'm sure the owners are charming - they contacted us with directions to make it easy to find the place, things looked clean and the place is surrounded by nature and calm but there's no where to walk to in the evening for a bite to eat and drink. We weren't very comfortable with the distance to the city so rebooked at a central hotel instead.

Dear Lorraine, we are 12 minutes from Cartagena by car, 20 minutes to seaport and 23 minutes to international airport. Our location is ideal for people who like staying near to the city but at the same time enough far to be able to enjoy with nature. If you like breathing clean air, feeling the silence and you value the show of an open sky plenty of stars at night, it will be an ideal place for you. If you are looking for the prices of a countryside place, and at the same time you want to go out of your room and find one commercial centre, pubs and restaurants, I would like to tell you with respect that I think that you confused yourself seeing only the prices at the moment you looked for a place and we are not responsible of this misunderstanding.
