We stayed at the Paseo del Arte from 1 to 4 February this year. Comfortable and clean with unobtrusive but friendly and helpful service. I am learning Spanish for fun and everyone I spoke to at the hotel was kind enough to speak back to me in Spanish. Everyone speaks English well enough, of course. No problems checking in or... More

We booked two nights stay at this hotel returning from a mediterranean cruise that returned to Barcelona. We flew to Madrid on a way back to the States. We chose this hotel because of a combination of its location (it is close to everything- museums in Madrid (two blocks away) La Plaza Mayor (walking distance) and La Puerta del Sol... More

We spent New Years in Madrid. The Husa Paseo del Arte is a wonderful hotel. It is very clean, bright and comfortable, except for the beds! The staff was very helpful and friendly. It is located in the middle of the museum district. The breakfast buffet was very tasteful and the staff were very efficent. The room was bright and... More

Overdue review - stayed at this hotel in nov '09. Hotel was very modern and clean. Room was spacious, we had a queen size bed and an additional single bed and we had plenty of space to walk around. Lots of closet space too. Lighting was a bit dark next to the closet/entry area, which was a shame since you... More

Just got back from Espana and the Husa Paseo Del Arte is definitely a great hotel to stay at while in Madrid especially if you are into the Art Museums or need a place thats near the Train stations. Its basically across the street a 3 minute walk from the Atocha Train station, which made it real convenient using the... More

Positives: + Clean and modern hotel. + Located close to Prado. Negatives: - Even though it is close to Prado, the actual area is dull with very few restaurants. Looks more like a working neighborhood. - The internet is 6 euro per hour in your room or in a business center?! And the printer at business center didn't work. What... More

Well located very close to the railway station (Atocha--southern destinations) and the main museums in Madrid, this hotel is a must for people who like lighted and airy rooms. All rooms face the street since the hotel is committed to light. The decor is modern and elegant. Personnel was attentive at all times. The restaurant offered a great breakfats buffet.... More

Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighbourhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
