Very helpful check-in with welcoming staff. The room was quite simple but provided everything necessary. We had no trouble getting from the airport to the hotel by bus, which is a real bonus. Helpful locals and airport employees made this possible. The neighborhood around the...More
Just needed a one night stay close to airport before heading home. Horrible place. No lobby open to congregate. Loud as people live right behind it. No WiFi in rooms. Dismal depressing rooms. Go down a few feet to Ibis Hotel you’ll like that much...More
Stayed one night, The location was good, near a metro station and bus stop. Little bit grubby but it was ok for a one night stop over, friendly and accommodating staff. Not sure if they do food or not, we had room only and ate...More

I don't know what Eros is talking about. This hotel is near the airport. The city center of Madrid is many miles away.....but you can easily take the Metro. Eros might have confused the hotel, because I did see the name pop up on a map of downtown; what is shown on the accompanying map, though, is the airport hotel.
If you are staying just one night, it will be hard to see much of Madrid. But you could take the Metro "downtown" and go to the Plaza Mayor and/or a nearby tapas bar and maybe get a feel for the city. Depending on your flight times/energy/interests, maybe you could pack in the Prado Museum, but that's pushing it.
If not, the neighborhood near the hotel is very Madrid itself. This is not like staying at an "airport hotel" away from everything. You are right in the heart of a real neighborhood with lots of local restaurants, outdoor cafes, stores, etc. Yet, close to the airport.
I do not think the Hotel has a shuttle to the airport. Take metro or taxi.
We parked in a big empty lot for free, less than two blocks from hotel. Ask at the front desk. She said that's where she parks. Parked there overnight and it seemed safe :) .
