We took our dogs for an overnight stop, the hotel is typically Travel Lodge, but advertised as dog friendly. They charged us €20 per dog per night, the rules don’t allow the dogs in the bar/ restaurant or to be left in the room while you eat. So we spent our money elsewhere as they really don’t understand pet friendly

Dear Safari, thank you very much for giving us your feedback. Regarding our rates to stay with pets, they correspond to 20 euros per stay regardless of the days on which the client is staying. Sorry for the inconvenience. Finally, let you know that all Travelodge staff enjoyed serving you and we look forward to seeing you again very soon in our hotel. Travelodge - Customer Care Team

After being stranded in Madrid at 3am the previous night due to another hotels incompetence was very glad to find a cheap and lovely Travelodge for our remaining 2 nights. Staff were lovely, food nice, drinks were great... rooms typically travelodge simple.. returning to madrid later in the year and will definitely be booking here again. Just the simple room you need if you dont intend on staying in for your break.

If you book with them, let's hope that there will be no issues because this hotel will never work with you to come up with a solution. We had booked 3 nights, and couldn't make it to the hotel. It would be totally understandable if they would take out partial of the fee, but they didn't even refundthe third night out of friendliness, they just booked another person to stay in the room to get double pay for the room.

New Travelodge in district about 20 mins by metro from centre of city. Basic accommodation - usual Travelodge, needs more storage - even a couple of shelves would be welcome. Cleaning could be better, muddy marks on floor when we arrived were not cleaned up over 5 nights stay. Fire alarm was going off when we arrived back one evening, there appeared to be no 'Reception Staff' in charge, just one of the girls serving in the snack bar area - no-one seemed to know what was happening or what to tell people to do - it was something burning in the kitchen area - worrying! Situated down a steep road with poor lighting and little passing traffic - not suitable for women walking back to hotel at night alone.
