In the beginning, I had some hesitations because of being "hostal". But there was no difference any hotel about rooms and facilities. Cleaning was also very effective in Marlasca.
On the other hand, it is in center of Madrid, only two minutes to Del Sol....More
We stayed here for 4 days. The hotel is about €30 by taxi from the airport, terminal 4. Unsuspecting entrance. Reception on the 2nd floor. Available 24hrs.
I already paid the amount. So less interaction with the Spanish speaking front desk. But they can understand...More
Just a 3 minute walk from Sol, this hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the heart of Madrid. The hotel is on the 2nd floor of the building and requires you to use the buzzer outside to be let in, but every time...More
This is really a hostel rather than a hostel. the rooms were quite large and comfortable for the price, good beds, shower etc. The location is excellent, 2 minutes walk to Puerta del Sol and 10-15 minutes walk to an endless number of bars, restuarants,...More

Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as
desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
