Was in Madrid for 3 days. Hotel is well located right off of Gran Via and has a nice lobby. Breakfasts are some of the best I've had in Spain. Full hot breakfast buffet. Service is excellent, and everything in working order. Rooms are average size, bathrooms good size and good water pressure, rooms could be updated, but I've heard...

We stayed there during the gaypride and we wanted to be in the heart of the chueca district. This was a perfect choice. The hotel is located greatly, 2 minutes from the metro station and very close to the shopping as well as the entertainment area of Chueca. It is clean, spacious rooms although the furnitures are a bit old,...

We spent 4 nights at Siete Islas and compared to other hotels in Madrid this was a very cheap option (came to EUR111 per night). The hotel is nothing special we really enjoyed it. It could be Madrid that made us feel that way as we just loved the city and have brought back great memories. The area the hotel...

This was a decent and clean lodging. Walking by sex clubs and hookers on the 1 1/2 block walk to Gran Via was not the best but we didn't feel unsafe.

Dear guest, thank you for visiting us and for your comments. About the street, we proudly promote this area: a lot of young new-talented people, working so hard, are starting with fresh-looking new businesses (small boutiques, art galleries, brasseries, bars & more). We are part of this new generation that believes that this area will become a new Soho, but...

We needed a triple room - and this was the last one that we could find in Chueca. The hotel was perfectly situated near all the gay-ness and shopping. Nicely priced, clean, comfortable, nice bathrooms.

Hotel Sieteislas is a pleasant hotel in a good location just off Gran Via. It is walking distance to many of the attractions of Madrid and access to transit is close by. There are many good restaurants nearby as well. The rooms are spacious with a nice marble bathroom. The price was good for Madrid as well. This is my...

One block off of the Main strip this place is a gem for the price. The street it is on looks a bit sketchy with various bars, some hookers, and your neighborhood gay outlet store, but apparently thats what allot of the city of Madrid is about. We came and went at all times of the day and night and...

We really appreciate your comments and feedback. The area, Triball, is now becoming one of the coolest places to be in Madrid, not just because of the night life, also because of the new restaurants, braseries, boutiques and art galleries. It is true that it becomes a bit noisy on Fridays and Saturdays specially (rooms overlooking the front of the...

1. location - yah - the street looks a little dicey, especially if you arrive on the weekend and a lot of the shop fronts are closed. until you realize most other streets look exactly the same with graffiti, etc... Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
