The staff was absolutely wonderful. I went for a business trip and they managed to make it easier and smoother. Great breakfast selection and coffees. The location was perfect, walking distance to San Miguel and La Puerta del Sol.

location wise the hotel is great. we had a double bed room, where the beds were single ones pushed together. this would not have been an issue, but the beds kept moving which made it really annoying to sleep on them. otherwise the hotel is clean and the staff is relatively nice.

This hotel is located very well. Just outside the old city, but very easy to get there. A metro station with 3 lines at walking distance (100 m), this is ideal to discover the city. Close by are some nice restaurants and bars... ...we were there in April, on some very warm days, and the airco was not working yet....

It is an ok hotel. Rooms are simple, in good state, clean. The biggest issue i had was that it was warm in Madrid and the hotel didn't have the airco system running. They explained that they either have heating or airco. I couldn't sleep because the room was extremely warm, even with the window open. It felt too confined....

I love the position of this hotel. Not in the middle of the chaotic Madrid center and enough close to the Parque de El Retiro. In 15-20 min you can reach both the Gran Via and the Park. The hotel is nice. The room tiny but we'll organized. The only negative note: the second room I took was with the...

Wonderful hotel with very good staff. Excellent location, near the center. The room is very nice, despite the window that overlooks the courtyard. For me, as a person on a business trip, everything is very convenient. The level of the wifi is very good. But this hotel is suitable for people on vacation. Within a 30-minute walk, a significant part...

This hotel is well positioned, one step from line 4 stop alonso martinez. I reserved a single room that had a double bedroom and a pretty large bathroom. The room was not that big but good for one person. Breakfast is served at the first floor and it's amazing: fresh fruit, dry fruit, organic juice, muffins, croissant and all you...

This was my first time there. I have spent a lot of time in NH hotels in Madrid, and this is one of their finest. It is a stone's throw away from Malasana and Tribunal which, in my book, makes it perfect.

I just spent several days there again, using the hotel as my reliable home in Madrid and 'base camp' for several trips across Spain. The rooms are spacious and well proportioned. Bathrooms are great size for inner-city hotel. The breakfast offers a wide variety at a good price. But real star are the staff - super friendly, kind yet professional...

Good hotel in the center of Madrid well located, very close to good variety of restaurants with good prices. Hotel staff is very friendly and always available. Rooms are without big luxuries, but quiet.

Staying in Chamberi

Neighbourhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighbourhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
