Do you want something for under $100.00 in downtown Madrid that is both clean and quiet? We recommend this hotel for just those needs as well as for it's the friendly staff. The hotel is also an easy walk distance from the airport bus.

first, the disappointing part - This is NOT a b&b. Common space in hostels far surpass the cramped common area her. There is no comfortable chair in the place. The front desk controls the air conditioning, so there was no room a/c at night. now for the positive - immaculate, nice linens, comfortable bed, very centrally located.

This hostal style B & B is just perfect for a short stay. Two single ladies of mature age found it easily - on the 7th floor of a beautiful building ( with elevator). It is very secure and really comfortable. The design is just a touch funky which is appealing. The staff are very engaged and go out of their...

Great location, just minutes away from a bunch of museums, little medieval winding streets and local small tapas bars to eat out. Our room was perfect, clean, quiet and really originally furbished. Breakfast was simple but OK. The staff are friendly and really helpfull. I can recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in a quiet but centrally located B&B!

Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighbourhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
