In the heart of Madrid this beaut stands out not only because of its location, but also for it's cool interior design and friendly staff - not to mention the view from the awesome roof terrace! Breakfast has a good variation between standard bacon and scrambled eggs to churros with chocolate, charcuteries, veggies, fruit, yoghurts .- you name it -...

Seamless, no fuss, non-complicated. It's all about location. Historical building... stunning views, located in the heart of everything. Rooftop views are amazing. My favorite, Alex at the hotel bar. Mixologist by all standards with a non-attitude. Most spectacular cocktails!

The staff were very accommodating. The hotel was stylish and the room comfortable. What made my stay was the view! We specifically asked for a top-floor room with a view of Callao/Gran Via and it was breathtaking! Unforgettable!

I visited with my wife in January this year, the outside of the hotel was marred by building work and the inside lobby area is not as welcoming or as spacious as you would expect. Service at the front desk was efficient and helpful but the first room we were shown to had a completely worn out mattress. On complaining...

I visited this hotel for business reason. My review is not about the hotel but about the restaurant of the hotel located at the first floor of the hotel. I came to meet a colleague for a business lunch. We showed up at 13:45, and ordered almost immediately croquetas caseras to share and then a fish and a burger. At...

Stayed here earlier this year after our original hotel disappointed us. We walked in and asked for a room at 00:20 after our original booked hotel let us down massively. Cannot fault this hotel, the location is great and the décor is very modern. The bedroom was huge and the bathroom was very clean. We don't speak Spanish and the...

Amazing surprise. We couldn't book the room until we were there, and I supposed it was gonna be SO expensive!!! It wasn't the room at the front, as I wanted it to be, but the views were awesome, pure Madrid. And costed 77 euros. Very happy, sure we repeat.

Located in the heart of Madrid this is on the main shopping street. The rooms are small and have a nice balcony. The hotel is at the corner of the shopping street offering great access to restaurants and the downtown sights on Gran Via.

The hotel was in the heart of Madrid many of the attraction were less then 15 minutes away by foot and many metro lines were less than 5 minutes away by foot. Lots of restaurants around and the breakfast was great too.

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
