Would use it again in going back to Madrid. The only thing is tht traffic can be noisy at times, but that is a big city.

It’s a very well located hotel if you need something in the centre of the town but a somehow too far if you need to go to the office into the other side of the city (not their fault, I know). But my main issue was the noise … Yes, I was very unlucky to be there during the strikes...

This hotel is well situated in Madrid, not very central but the area has nice pedestrian area with plenty of cafe, taperias, restaurant full of local people and not so many turist. The hall is simple but clean and the room are not big but clean and moreover there isn't any carpet so it seems even cleaner. Bathroom are ok...

Registration staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Although I didn't use them, toiletries were included in bathroom. Thermostat was broken, so good thing our room was at a tolerable temperature. Breakfast buffet had lots of fresh, delicious choices.

For those who want a simple, clean, well-priced hotel, albeit with the minimum of services, close to the centre of Madrid, look no further than the NH Alberto Aguilera. Bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable without being overgenerous. The restaurant serves breakfast but is closed at other times, while room service is limited to deliveries from a nearby pizzeria.

The business hotel is reasonably well located for a visit to central Madrid but is probably best avoided if you want a quiet night's sleep. If I opened the window, I was kept awake by the traffic, which is almost 24x7. Even if I closed it, which I dislike to even with air conditioning, the traffic was very audible. There...

We stayed here for 4 nights in June. My best advise is if coming from the Airport do not use the directions given to you on their website. Yo have to change lines twice and with baggage it isn't easy as the lifts are in short supply... If any! Instead take Line 8 (it costs €2 each) and change at...

I've stayed in NH hotels quite a lot in Spain, this one was very typical of the chain. Comfortable, modern and clean, if a bit basic. On the upside: Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are well equipped and modern. Complimentary NH bathroom supplies (shower gel etc) are delightful. Good room service (pizza and pasta). Pretty good location, if...

This place is not worth the money. I am pretty sure the room that I booked was an elevator shaft at one time. It was barely bigger than the small, low, uncomfortable double bed that was in it. Air conditioning didn't have temperature control. I got yelled at when I took a piece of bread from their breakfast buffet. Service...

This hotel is OK. It's close to San Bernardo metro stop so it's easy to get around. The reception staff were friendly and the rooms clean and tidy but I've stayed in better 3 star hotels. It just doesn't wow you. It's very plain and simple. I would suggest it's on the lower end of the scale for a 3...

Staying in Chamberi

Neighbourhood Profile
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighbourhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
