I have stayed just one night and I'm satisfied in general. The location of the hotel is quite good very close to many sightseeings. The room was clean and the hotel personnel very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was poor and I think that should be improved. Thank you.

Not a great location for a family. Rooms are comfortable but if they are road facing then you can hear a lot of noise till late in the night. Breakfast is served close by and is good. Very close to metro station, so you can go around the city comfortably, even the bus stop for the hop on and hop off is very close to the hotel. Very difficult to reach in your own car (very narrow lanes and you won't be able to even stop for offloading your luggage).

The location is great, you can walk to the Royal Palace, Plaza San at Ana, the Prado. Lots of restaurants around. Small super!market opposite. Has WiFi (sometimes had to go into hallway to connect) and air con. Couple of English channels on TV. For a capital city hotel it is good value. Staff helpful, especially when I emailed to say our flight was 18 hours late!

What a great little place in a very convenient location at Puerta de Sol. It is a short stroll to the Sol metro once you find the way. We arrived late at night and I must admit the sign of the hotel was not distinct. Even in the day, you had to look hard. Tip - look for the flags, it's the hotel with the flags. Another important tip - the reception is on the 2nd floor. However there is an elevator unless you went in the wrong front door. Room had a view to the street which we wanted (see photos). We liked the fact that we could see and hear the hustle bustle of the street but once window/door to balcony was closed, the noise was hardly noticeable. Expect garbage trucks if you want the street view. The bed was comfortable. We slept soundly. Room was clean and neat. We booked a superior room. The check in staff was friendly and the day staff which was another young man looked stern but was actually super knowledgable and helpful (Alvaros - same name as the metro station for the bus). Gave good advice. They also kindly print out tickets for free. We took the train/metro from the airport and also to the bus station. Madrid's transport was quite easy to navigate. The hotel is very close to Sol metro. Would stay there again. Highly recommended.

Spent 4 nights in this hotel (same floor as reception). Great location right in the Center, walking distance to main spots of interest. Great breakfast buffet, even though it is not served in the hotel itself, but in a little restaurant around the corner. Beds are quite comfortable as well. And now the bad: there is virtually no sound insulation between the rooms ! Our second night next door neighbor snored so loud that my wife practically could not sleep at all. Seems like a person is right in the next bed to you. Asked administrator to change the room but were told that person already moved out. It was true. But next night again: some noisy couple moved in and argued, showered and argued again till 3 in the morning. I just need a hotel to sleep at night, and this hotel is not for that. Another thing - really bizarre bathroom/shower . Glass door opens to the inside of the bathroom. So you have to walk into the shower in order to close the door and use the toilet, otherwise the door is about 1 inch from the toilet bowl rendering toilet hard to use. Who was the genius to construct such a marvel? It can be fixed very easy: just put the door hinge on the opposite side of the glass wall so you can open the door to the outside. So, to sum up: hotel is in a great area, but if you have some neighbour louder than a mouse - you are in trouble. So no more Alhambra Suites on my hotel list
