Had to find a hotel for my Boss Who can be quite picky. This place is really First class. Located in the very heart of the city and still calm during the night. Staff is very helpful and from the entrance to the rooms the Design is really pleasing. Breakfast is a class of its very own. I did not want to leave this place and visiting this great city again I know where I will stay
this 5 star hotel is located in the city center with easy 5 min walk to plaza mayor and nearby metro (which is the preferred choice of transportation in madrid). although centrally located the hotel is in a quite area with local bars and restaurants, which promises good food and reasonable pricing. rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped with all the expected 5* amenities, including nesspresso coffee machine, water etc. great sound proof. staff was friendly and very helpful. very good breakfast (if there's any point I would improve is that... also not you can ask for more options which are not on the buffet such as waffles, salmon etc.). overall rating is excellent and a great value for money
This is a boutique hotel with a great location, with walking distance to the best shopping places as well to nice restaurants and museums. We truly enjoyed the 5 days we stayed in Madrid. The breakfast is fantastic, so many options. We were impressed by things like 8 different milk options, fresh fruits, amazing coffee and delicious food. The attentions were above and beyond and the whole staff is super friendly, very respectful and always willing to help. Our concierge, Juan Jose Gonzalez is one of the kindest person I have ever met working for any hotel around the world. We highly recommend this hotel.
Rooms: Extremely spacious after a complimentary upgrade. Breakfast buffet: Was included in my room purchase. Amazing. Everything was the highest quality ingredients. Made to order eggs were cooked perfectly (although most people would likely add salt and pepper on receiving it). Staff: Extremely professional. Fluent in English if needed. Location: Heart of Madrid yet extremely quiet. Win win. This is the best sub $1000 room I’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommended
The NH Collection Palacio de Tepa is located in a very central location. Walking distance to every Puerto de Sol, Plaza Mayor, every major attraction, museum, etc.. however it is on a relatively quiet street/plaza so it did not feel super touristy. Great restaurants and a fun jazz club close by. I was a solo female traveler, and felt safe coming & going, even at night, however I did notice one evening, when I entered the hotel and there was no staff at the front desk, which made me a bit uneasy. The room & bathroom were quite large, especially for European standards, however I felt the bed & the pillows were very uncomfortable; flat pillows & hard mattress. The room was also quite hot, but since it was winter, I could not use the AC, only turn off the heat. I heard quite a bit of noise from the street & other guests in the hotel, so I did not sleep well here. I did enjoy the large bathtub and the views from the room. The breakfast buffet was large & varied (you could get eggs to order) and the food was fresh and quite good. A good value. The great location and large size of the room is the reason for my higher rating; otherwise I would say it was an average hotel; a bit overpriced for the experience & accommodations.…
