We stayed in the samauri room and had a fantastic stay. The room is like no other with a hot tub in the middle. Usually on a city trip you don't really want to return to your room too often but not in this case! We will definately stay there again on our next visit.

I read a lot of bad things about this stay and I was close to choose another one. I'm glad we didn't! Great location, close to everything in Madrid. 1 min walk to Gran via metrostation, 10 min to the airportbus. We stayed in the "Neo" room, wich hade very cool lights. The jacuzzi workd flawless. We read about that...

The last review on Heranfu suites is so powerfully negative that it almost made us cancel our booking with the apartments. I'm so glad we decided to go afterall! Yes, there are problems with actually getting into the room... If we hadn't have looked prior travel on google maps then we would have had NO IDEA where it was because...

I'm currently writting this whilst in the room at 3am to vent some frustration. On arrival there is literally a door with numerous buzzers, no actual sign for the apartments. After ringing for a while we are finally let in and taken to our room. There is no reception so absolutly no point of contact with any staff. The apartment...

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
