The room we had at this hotel for 4 nights was spacious, very clean, well equipped; it had many power points and a laptop and the bathroom was esplendid, with good quality consumables and a great shower. It was also very quiet, it didn't overlook the plaza but the hotel patio, with a chill-out bar area open until 11pm. Despite...

First the positive - good location, adequate breakfast. However (a) rooms facing the square can get very noisy at night (and do!) because of poor or no insulation (b) small, cramped rooms (c) there is either heating or cooling for the entire place, depending on the season and not the real weather - thus on a very warm day this...

Room on the second floor to the inner yard was very quiet, clean, with laptop and free wifi. Solely bath and shower had to be heated by the a/c in the middle of the room. Very friendly,...

Very nice hotel that is truly Petit. The location is excellent, just 10 minutes walk to Gran Via, 10 minutes to catch the city tour buses. Staff was very helpful and courteous. We did arrive around 2 pm and had to wait until 3 for check in. The AC doesn't cool much so my kids were hot at night in...

Enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights. The staff were really helpful and the rooms comfortable. Breakfast is a little chaotic although the selection of food is very wide. Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
