We wanted a relaxing weekend to break up a busy lifestyle and feel we picked extremely well in choosing the Radisson. We’ve had a couple of poor experiences with Radissons in the last few months, but this stay has renewed our confidence in the chain. Most staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Requests were generally met with a “can-do” attitude....

If you're looking for a hotel near the Prado, this is one. That is mainly all that goes for it. Awful customer service (except for one of the weekend breakfast staff), non-existing soundproofing within the building, tiny rooms, no proper gym, foul smell in the bathroom. Bad value for money. Be careful with breakfast. They charged us about €6 extra...

We stayed three nights in November 2016. We had a business room with a nice french balcony. Would recommend this hotel, this is at least 4++ hotel and excelently located to our purpose to see the main sights, visit museums and eat well in nice Madrid restaurants. Good breakfast. Easy access also to some shopping in salamanca. Definately would return...

We stayed in this hotel for three nights for my mums 60th birthday. Great location near underground stations. Bedrooms modern, good size beds, shower good all facilities clean. Modern hotel, staff very friendly and happy to help. Breakfast was fresh with lots to offer. Would recommend this hotel for a city break.

We stayed here in May 2016. We flew in on a red eye and although our room wasn't ready, we were offered a slight upgrade (for a small fee) to a room that was available hours ahead of check in. Score! From there forward, the staff couldn't be more helpful. When we encountered some travel difficulties, Mohammed helped us look...

Spent a couple of nights here during our mini vacation in Madrid. The location is perfect: central Madrid, close to train station, restaurants and Calle Real with lots of shops. The room wasn't anything special, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet at night, so we slept very well. The hotel has a pool with...

We enjoyed our stay at Radisson Blu in Madrid. Really good location and friendly staff. The only minor disapointment was the breakfast-we did not find it so impressive. Altough the waiter was super friendly and has brought us omlet which was great :) Would stay again!

Stayed here on business in January. Great central location so you can walk to nice bars and restaurants. Ate in the restaurant at lunchtime and the food was very nice indeed. Was quite quiet when I was there and staff were very pleasant and attentive. Found my room a bit gloomy as no outlook but this is fine when you...

This hotel is on the Gran Via. The location is convenient for walking tours or for getting to the nearby Metro stops. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We hope to stay at the Radisson Blu the next time we visit Madrid.

Stayed in Radisson Hotels all over the world and generally they are very good. On this occasion it was probably the worst room in the hotel. The room itself was clean and had everything we needed apart from natural light. It actually felt quite like a cupboard. The staff were good and the breakfasts were excellent but the bar area...

Staying in Huertas

Neighbourhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighbourhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
