Really happy with the location 7 min walk to tourist tack attractions and lots of little bars and cafes right on the door step. Clean tidy, has a lift, great shutters so good for a sleep in after a late night. If wifi is important to you not ideal the signal only worked in the hallway right next to the... More

Great place to stay. Very clean and centrally located. Nice but small balcony with a street view. We didn'n meet the staff at all. They sent me a pin-code for the doors. Wi-Fi only in the kitchen-area.

We stayed with 4 friends visiting Madrid - specifically the el Bosco exibition in the Prado- which was at appr. 5 minutes on foot). The train station was at 12 minutes. The appt. was clean and large enough for 4 people. The "inbetween" bed was a bit small for 2 persons but manageable for 1 night. There were many excellent... More

Prado Apartments are very well located and perfect for a trip with a big group. The apartment where we stayed was relatively spacious and well equipped. However, the apartments also had some clear signs of under maintenance (some walls needed a fresh painting) and one of the rooms didn't had window shutters, which made very hard to sleep after the... These apartments are well situated for exploring the Centro and beyond. They are in a quiet residential area 20-30 minutes walk from the Prada area one way and Plazza de la Republica the other way. Plenty of good local places to eat in the area. Door codes gave to be collected when you pay for your stay at the offices... More

We rented a 2bedroom/1 bath apartment for a 3 night stay. We had requested an upper floor and got a 4th floor (top floor) unit with a 2nd bathroom and 2 nice rooftop terraces. Walking distance to everything including Prado museum. There is a bar 1/2 block away that was noisy one night but didn't bother our sleep. Convenient self... More

Very spacious and very well situated. This apartment was very appropriate for my family of 5. Well equipped kitchen and even had a cute little balcony. Had a little trouble getting the codes for the doors from the owners and trouble setting up the wifi but once they were both sorted it was a very pleasant stay.

It was fine but the process for checking in was ENTIRELY UNSATISFACTORY. Having made the booking through Agoda, i got a confirmation email, found the building easily but arrived at the address to find no signs, no name. no reception and no idea at all of how to get in. I called the local number on my invoice and got... More

Spacious apartment i can consider as a home away from home. It is centrally located and everything is almost walking distance. Very good value for money. We did not have wifi signal though. I will stay again in this apartment if ever i am back in Madrid.

This is the third time I have stayed at this apartment since 2012. First stay was with a fellow art enthusiast, followed by a stay with my daughter who is a Art History student and this June with my second daughter who is also a student of art. The three major art galleries in Madrid are each less than 10... More

Staying in Huertas

Neighbourhood Profile
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighbourhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
