The hotel is very modern. a bit hard to find but once you are inside you get to a nice and prety modern environment. breakfast was very good, the staff was friendly. Only bad thing, no businees room to work once you checked out. Great location, just two walks away from Plaza Mayor.

Great location - walking distance to all major sights in Madrit. Friendly welcome, lovely spacious and clean room. Modern decoraton and comfort is a big surprize comparing to very reasonable price. Most recomended for all coming to visit Madrit.

The staff were very extremely helpful. They even wished me an early happy b-day( I left the day before the actual day). The rooms are very clean, breakfast is okay, but not overpriced. the downside is that the breakfast area is not always staffed so the tables are not always cleared if you go after "rush hour". The hotel is...

Front desk manager rude as was the receptionist. Not service oriented in the least. Lied and told me I had a king bed when it was only a full. Unfriendly and arrogant. Need professional development in appropriate customer service. Breakfast eggs and tortilla de patata were cold on both days. Didn't even complain because they just didn't care. Room 304...

Lovely hotel with good service. We really enjoyed our time here and found it was a great jumping off place for touristy endeavours. We enjoyed row-boating in the park a great deal. As we travel with our four kids, location is critically important so we don't get too tired walking. Hotel was perfect for our needs.

As i mentioned in headline, location is superb. It is few steps from San Miguel market ( just across a street) and 100m from Plaza Mayor. Everything you want to see in a city can be done on foot, really for example it took me 30min till Prado museum. My friends and me went to see El Classico also, and...

The hotel is very close to the city centre and the key places to visit, such as Plaza Mayor, Mercado San Miguel and the San Gines Chocolateria (not to be missed!), and is also easy to reach from the airport by metro. The price of a hotel room is reasonable. The receptionists are very kind and speak good English. The...

This hotel is all about location. Immediately off the Plaza Mayor and some of the main shopping streets its location is difficult to beat. The hotel with its high tech image is a little odd. The restaurant is small and so so in terms of quality. Our room was a bit of a disappointment as it was definitely not as...

I was so happy with this hotel! I was very apprehensive, as I normally am with European hotels, but was pleasantly surprised. The room is average size and the bathroom is large. Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
