Customer service is absolutely SHOCKING. They “lost” our booking (something I have read has happened to various people”) after taking credit card details (scary), leaving us out on the street after arriving in Madrid. After waiting for two hours on someone from the hostel to phone us back with a “solution”, I have added a photo of the so called...

Please management-owner consider having one member of staff at least in reception: for safety reasons and fairness on the neighbours. There is not reception, not personal of staff that you could see, contact in case of an emergency or in case of needing something. The caretaker (conserje) of the building, is the one helping guests, informing them about amenities or...

The staff was very friendly and helpful but the room was very small and washroom was made inside the room, a sort of cabin which was difficult to use due to small size. The rent was too high as compared to facilities.

I stayed at this place for two nights. Location is really good since the metro is walking distance from the hotel. My room was nice and clean and everything worked well. The weird thing is that you never get to see people there. When I arrived to this place I had to wait for almost 10 minutes after ringing the...

We had an overnight in Madrid between flights. This hotel was well placed: we easily caught the metro in from the airport, then back out the next morning. Basic room, but clean and comfortable. We had good food nearby for dinner and breakfast.

The single room was very noisy due to a heater in the next room. There was also a smell of cigarette smoke. The location of the hotel is good with nice terraces outside and many restaurants at walking distance.

The hotel is located in the 2nd floor of a building, which is going through some renovations in the front. It's centrally located, a couple of steps from the Alonso Martinez Metro station. It's centrally located, 10' walking distance to La Puerta del Sol and 20' walking distance to Plaza Mayor. It's also 15' walking distance to the US Embassy....

Very comfortable place to stay, especially the leather couch as seems like around it the wifi is most strongest. Small rooms but clean. Stayed only one night but got the last minute deal for like 11 euros. Location is superb- metro, restaurants, cafes all over the place.

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
