This was our fourth stay in Santiago. We do not do the camino but go as tourists. This was the first time we stayed in the hospederia and will certainly return. Although the room still looks like a monks cell the bed is extremely comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well appointed. The place breathes calm. It is inexpensive...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights last year and this year at the end of a Camino. The rooms are quite simple but functional and ironically seem luxurious if you've been walking for days/weeks. They are spotlessly clean, comfortable and great value. The hotel faces one wing of the Cathedral and is very...

Hospederia San Martin Pinario is right next to the Compostela de Santiago Cathedral which makes it a perfect place to stay to rest aching feet after walking the Camino!!! The room is basic...no TV...which makes it a reason for everyone to get out and enjoy the lovely city! The room I was in was a bit noisy as I can...

What a beautiful hotel!! It's right across from the cathedral and close to everything. Parking is not close to the hotel at all, but do not deter you from staying here. This is a very very old monastery and gives a feeling of calm when you enter. Location and charm of this hotel makes up for the lack of air...

I have nothing new to add to all the reviews except that if you are traveling solo and want a small, non-refurbished with private bath room, you can ask for the "peregrino" rooms. Only 20E. Perfect location and very much in keeping with historic feeling one gets in this magnificent town. They call a taxi for you at any time....

This is a very old monastery that was converted to an upscale pension. The rooms are very small but that is ok as not much is needed for a good nights sleep and works well as a home base to explore this beautiful city. The majestic Cathedral is right across the plaza so it is very convenient to go to...

This was a beautifully refurbished monastery. After a month walking in the Camino it was wonderful to spend time in the lounge with friends. Located just across from the cathedral and fun to sit just outside and watch the pilgrims arriving! Austere but inexpensive (includes a hot breakfast buffet) and CLEAN!

Final stop in our cycle from Santander to Santiago de Compestela. At first we couldn't find it. We knew it was by main cathedral. We walked round this massive ancient building a few times before we realised this was it. It's a truly magnificent huge building which was a monetary back in the day. Inside it has all the feel...

This was my favourite place to stay on the Camino. To arrive in Santiago and be able to stay in a converted monastery is amazing. However the rooms are quite small as well as the bathrooms. Some rooms appear to be smaller than others. I didn't eat supper here because the menu each night, (I stayed for two nights followed...
