This was such a wonderful find and Carmen was so very welcoming and could not have been more helpful to me. My bedroom was charming with every attention to detail and comfort: breakfast and then ongoing availability of hot drinks, fruit and cake was delightful and very welcome .Additionally the hotel was very well positioned. Exceptionally good!

We stayed here for 3 nights after completing the Camino. Arrived before check in time, but were made very welcome and were able to leave our heavy rucksacks. The hotel is on the second floor, but there is a lift. Our small room was simply but beautifully furnished, very modern and bright. Amazingly they managed to fit a shower into... More

Once I actually found it, it was a joy. The host was charming and helpful, the room was comfortable with a TV and a balcony, and there was the most amazing Santiago cake available in unlimited quantities (with coffee or tea). The place oozed 'cool'! Thank you

We arrived early, no issues, we slept in, no issues and fresh bread brought out for breakfast. Central location bus stop to the airport outside, 10 min walk from train station and a short walk to the centre. Rooms are clean and bright, staff friendly and blackout blinds for night time - perfect and very reasonably priced.

We loved our stay in pension Mafer. Very nicely appointed rooms with lots of character albeit on the small side. Our ensuite was miniscule but served it's purpose. Very friendly helpful hosts who served an excellent breakfast. Would certainly recommend.
