The hotel is a ten minute walk from the old town. The triple room comprised a massive bed, complimentary water and extra seating in the room. The room is not overly spacious but everything is nicely set out. The bathroom was ultra-modern with a glass sink. No coffee making facilities which is a bit of a pain but a couple of steps away is a terrific coffee shop which opens early. As previously mentioned parking is underground in a very tight space but is secure and welcome as it's on-site.
Good location, close to town, shopping, parks. Clean, modern rooms. Very courteous front desk lady, who gave tons of information about the neighbourhood. Correctly priced. Good room temperature controls. All-in-all a good stay. Will return.
There aren’t many 4 star hotels in Tarragona if you’re not on the beach. This one is pretty conveniently located near the major traffic circle at the edge of the central area. Easy local bus service from the slow Renfe train station at the circle and bus service to the fast Camp train station every 20 minutes from the bus station at the circle. Pretty typical for an AC hotel. We had a twin room facing the busy street, but it was quiet with the window closed. (The queen rooms are located on the back side facing the park.) We didn’t use any of the facilities (restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, parking, etc.), just the room which was pretty nice.
Stayed for thee nights in December. The hotel itself is quite well situated but a good 10 minutes walk to find any decent bars or restaurants. Room was clean but on the small side. Bathroom was good. We got on some good weather in December which meant that the room got very hot. The Aircon does not allow you to cool your room in the winter season so we had to leave the window open. Breakfast was disappointing. No scrambled eggs, company policy apparently The hotel is geared towards business people so the experience for couples, tourists is somewhat limited.
We stayed at AC Hotel for 2 nights and it wasn't any close to our other Marriott experiences. Not sure if one must even call it a Marriott property or is it only a brand tag. Coming to the details : The room size was decent but somehow very suffocating - the only window opened inside the hotel with a view of other rooms. The air conditioner temperatures couldn't be adjusted even after several trials. The staff was ok and coming from a country which has some of the best hospitable hotels, this place was a bit unwelcoming for us. For starters, we were refused a glass of water that we wanted to take to our room and were asked to buy a 250 ml bottle for 2.5 euros instead! The breakfast was decent but nothing too great for the price - 16.5 Euros. Overall - not our best experience and perhaps I would choose another property next time.…
