Copenhagen Region, Denmark5055 contributions510 helpful votes
This hotel was a steal in my opinion at the price we paid and all the stuff it came with. Million-dollar views of the most treasured ruins of the region, Fine luxury blended with Boutique vibes, and a fantastic location. The perfect package you could wish for! And they even welcome you with a complimentary glass of the finest sparkling wine(Cava) from the region! The only gripe I had was the super low-speed Wifi (Around 3 - 5 Mbps!) LOCATION: Excellent location in the heart of old town DINE + DRINK: They have a few bars and restaurants on-site. But the killer is the Rooftop bar CAELUM which is one of the most sought-after spots for a sunset drink with mindblowing views! ROOM: We stayed in Room 524, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Spectacular views of the Amphitheatre and the Sea from the lovely Balcony attached to the room; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Excellent Spa quality cosmetics FACILITIES: Good Gym with a fine range of weights and Cardio machines, good enough for a full workout. They also have a couple of swimming pools, one of them located in a spectacular setting on the rooftop! SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Big sore point. Super LOW-SPEED Wi-Fi(3 Mbps) that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment - PRIMARILY IN SPANISH ONLY!

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed here for 2 nights en route to the south and had an amazing time. The service is excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The pool areas were immaculate and we loved hanging out on the rooftop. We booked direct with the hotel and they included an incredible buffet breakfast for free. The kids loved that there were donuts and churros! The rooms are huge and beautifully decorated, comparable to a top 5* hotel. I will certainly return and would highly recommend

We stayed in a Deluxe Mare room an the second floor and the view over the old city, Roman ruins and Mediterranean was fantastic. We used the table and chairs on the balcony frequently. In the evening we would sit out and drink wine. A couple nights an opera singer was singing on the square below our room and so we listened to him while the sunset. The roof top terrace with plunge pool is beautiful. The view from there is breath taking. The room itself was very nice and the bed very comfortable. Their breakfast buffet is extensive with many choices. The only downside was that items were not always replaced in a timely manner when they ran out. The personnel at the front desk were amazing. They all spoke English very well and were very friendly and helpful. Checkin and checkout were very smooth. The location was perfect for visiting the old walled town. The old town has lots of bars and restaurants. The beach is not as close as it looks in the pictures. It is on the other side of the RR and there are only a couple places to cross the tracks. It is a short walk to the bus station where you can get the bus to see the Roman aqueduct that is just out of town. We were there during the Santa Tecla Festival. There were pluses and minuses. The pluses are the marches and children activities during the week. The downside is the noise. At the end of the festival it sounds like the entire city parties all night. There are loud bands, loud music, loud people and fireworks. Even with noise cancelling Bose ear phones I could not sleep. Although a little subdued the party was still going at 7 am. It is going to be noisy anywhere near the old city because there are parties all over the city. This only happens 1 or 2 night per year and if you like parties this is a big one. We would definitely stay here again except during the last couple nights of the Santa Tecla festival.

Like the H10 brand and was delighted to stay at this hotel. Communication prior to our stay was bizarre, as they emailed offering an upgrade, which when I accepted, wasn’t available. Was tempted to cancel, but glad I didn’t. Position in the town is excellent. Most of the rooms have at least a partial sea view, and I was surprised to find that our basic room had a tiny balcony. Bed was very comfy. Ask for a room on an upper floor. Views are great. Small moans are, 1/ the service in the roof restaurant/bar is really slow. They seem to have to bring everything up from the ground floor bar. 2/ There are only 2 lifts, so at peak times, there’s a queue. 3/ noisy on Saturday nights if there’s a function, and you’re close to that part of the hotel. Didn’t detract from our stay, but things to bare in mind. Really liked Tarragona, especially the old town, and historic environment. Quite a long walk down to the beach, as the railway runs along the coast, and there’s only a couple of places to cross. Lovely town to spend some time.

When our flight was cancelled at very short notice the reception staff could not have been more helpful even finding us another room to extend our stay by 3 days even though it was in the middle of fiesta week. Many thanks to Edward. All staff were v professional at all times.

Our first trip to Tarragona (and my first overseas holiday for 3 years) - and what a lovely hotel. Most aspects covered by all other recent reviews...(we were also there for the '5am disco', which we assumed was part of the Santa Tecla celebrations, and so was part of the 'atmosphere'...) So..stunning hotel, brilliant location for all aspects of the town/beach...plus less than 40 minutes from Barcelona by the impressive high speed train. Hotel staff could not be faulted, especially those in the rooftop bar who looked after us admirably all week, and the reception staff who noted it was my birthday and provided a free bottle of something fizzy.... Our final night wait of over an hour for two plates of pasta tested the patience a bit, but by then the hotel had so much credit in the bank that they maintain their 5 star rating.

Got an incredible last-minute deal to stay in this luxury property, and took advantage of it to visit Tarragona during a long stay in Barcelona. Perfectly located next to the Rambla Nova and overlooking the Roman ruins and the sea. My room (every room?) had a lovely balcony, a large living area, and a huge comfortable bed. Bathroom had separate tub and walk-in shower. Lots of amenities. Solid breakfast. Nice pool. Very friendly staff (had a nice chat with the receptionist who saw my Canadian passport and told me about his recent visit there). Highly recommended, especially if you can get a deal.

A long awaited visit to this 4* hotel. Lovely welcome, comfortable room, sea view, fantastic breakfast, beautiful roof terrace and pool. Sadly the whole trip was ruined as on the second night there was the loudest club/disco/shouting music I've ever heard. It went on until 5am!. It literally reverbarated around the hotel despite them claiming the rooms were soundproofed. Despite ours and others complaints during the night, the hotel said they couldn't do anything to stop it as it was outside the front and not inside the hotel. The police weren't interested. It's bitterly disappointing when you've splashed out €400 to treat yourself to a couple of nights in a luxury hotel to have it ruined by a disturbed and uncomfortable night. If I'd wanted to go to Ibiza, that's where I'd have gone. 🙄

We stayed for four nights in a junior suite. The room was amazing and the hotel was just great in every way. All the staff were friendly and efficient, but especially those working on reception and in the beautiful rooftop bar. I don’t normally like perfume / air fresheners, but this place smelled so lovely! (I wish I knew what it was).

Very impressed with the hotel and the service. This hotel did everything right! Welcome drink when we checked in, I requested a high floor when I reserved and received one. chocolates in the room. Clean and modern large room. Comfortable bed. Read the fine print with room descriptions, some rooms have a side view of the ocean and some are straight on. There is a price difference of course. The only thing I don’t like is the shower only has a hand wand and it’s impossible to take a shower and not get the floor soaked.
