For me this is a five star hotel… it has all the amenities you need (pool, sauna, hot tub, excellent and well priced breakfast, kind staff, AC, cozy). In addition the hotel is on walking distance (5-10 minutes) from the beautiful city center. I really enjoy the two big rooms we had for me and my wife and the three kids. And I loved the beds. Thanks for all!!!

This exceptional hotel should rate as 4 star!! It is the whole package.
The rooms are scrupulously cleaned on a daily basis, delicious breakfasts and ‘cooked to perfection’ evening meals are served in the delightful restaurant and the staff are competent, pleasant and simply can’t do enough for their guests. It has the ambience of a family run establishment combined with the professionalism of a large hotel.
The beds were so incredibly comfortable and I slept soundly, even on the first night, which is not traditionally one of my habits!
Not being animal lovers, we were a little concerned about it being ‘pet friendly’. This was not a problem. We were simply given rooms on the 3rd floor where animals are not accommodated. We did see a few pets with their owners but their presence was not in the least intrusive.
There are lots of little areas to sit both inside and out, thus adding to the feeling of relaxed but careful hospitality which is so much a part of the character of this place.
In terms of location, we were a 25 minute walk from the centre of the old town and a similar length taxi ride from the airport ( which, incidentally, is pleasantly small and quiet).
I cannot recommend Hotel Costabella highly enough. If you’re going to Girona, look no further. You’ve found your happy place!😊

A pleasant hotel placed just outside city center of Girona with free parking. It takes about 30 minutes to walk into the city center but if you want to drive by car its easy to get parking.
The hotel has a 24 hours service and a restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Descent prices. The pool is open to 21:00 and during middle of august not to many people using it but great for cooling down.
Close to the reception/pool there is a bar almost like a minibar. You take what you want and write down what you have taken and leave for the reception. Suitfull name of the bar is "Honest Bar"
The rooms are in good size as well as the bed. They have a coffemachine with decaf coffee as well as tea and milk. There is also a fridge if you wish to use for own goods.
The rooms are soundproof from the street but not from other guests moving furnitures in the middle of the night so if you are sensitive bring earplugs.
The hotell havent put cotton paws under the chairs so it sounds a lot.
Great pillows to the bed and fresh bathroom with products from Rituals serie Happy Buddha. There is also a safety locker and AC free of charge.

Absolutely great hotel and couldn’t recommend enough. Worth more than 3 stars.
Beautiful location with pool and other facilities, everywhere so clean and pleasant.
Staff also so pleasant, enjoyed dinner on one of the nights at hotel and really lovely staff who offered to help move us outside with drinks after our food. Reception so helpful, booked us a taxi for return to airport.
Booked breakfasts for two mornings of our stay and did this upon check in, easily paid for hotel as well with quick service, bear in mind we had arrived at 11pm so was great to quickly get to sleep after our journey.
We commuted to the old and new town of Girona by bus, due to 34 degree heat and didn’t want to walk. Buses ran frequently at bus stop just behind hotel next to hospital.
Hotel is out of the way of busy Girona traffic and nearby supermarkets if quick snacks etc needed, beautiful location too.
Rooms are huge, for two of us a double room was lots of space and so nice, bathrooms so clean and new as well, couldn’t fault a thing. Air conditioning in room which was so great! And all facilities for bathroom present such as shower gel shampoo etc
Overall was such a pleasant stay, stayed in room 306 with a nice view of the trees and not in direct sunlight, would go here again straight away.

We stopped in this hotel on route to Almeria and the Staff were so helpful and friendly. After a long drive from London and arriving late they still managed to serve us a fantastic meal in their restaurant.
Lovely spacious rooms/ large comfortable beds/clean,fresh and a fantastic bathroom with a great shower.
The next day we travelled to Almeria and decided to book this hotel again on our return back to the uk.
After arriving early Evening the receptionist Mr Joan Isern was so helpful.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions the hotel restaurant was closed but Joan phoned around and organised a Chinese meal to be delivered to the hotel for us.
Fantastic meal from Gran Muralla Top class.
Honestly bar in reception is great, had a lovely evening and a great Breakfast in the morning.
The hotel was very quiet and we never had an issues with noise in the evening or through out our stay.
Finally this hotel for a 3* is brilliant and I will be booking again on my return to Spain.
Thanks again guys for your friendly service and making us feel welcome.

We had such a perfect 2 night stay. Hotel rooms are lovely and very clean as was the pool area. To say it is close to a main road it was still very quiet. The hotel is in a great location just a 20 minute walk away from the town which we did a few times, even in the heat it was still a pleasant walk. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We didn't eat in the hotel but heard the food was very good, we did have a few drinks from the honesty bar and they were reasonably priced and a great idea as you just handed in a slip with what you had and then were charged for them at checkout. Would definitely like to come back to Girona and the Hotel Costabella and would definitely recommend.

The hotel is modern, clean and has nice staff. We chose it because of those features for our week long holiday in Girona. The rooms are lovely with big beds and large bathrooms. It has a nice bar where you can get drinks from. I would also recommend the restaurant to eat dinner in.
The problem is that we didnt get a good nights sleep over the 7 nights we stayed. It is incredibly noisy and we could hear every movement from upstairs. We woke up 3-4 times a night because of the noise in the hotel. Every morning we were woken early by what sounded like furniture being moved around upstairs.
People also seemed to come to the pool regardless of whether they were staying in the hotel or not. A large family came and blasted music while eating McDonalds around the pool while we were outside which was quite annoying!
I would perhaps recommend this hotel for one or two nights sleep (with earplugs!) but would not stay here again for a week long trip.

The Hotel Costabella is a good hotel - friendly service, decent clean and comfortable rooms and free parking on site. Breakfast is worth a shout out as it is very good, and the restaurant for other meals is reasonably priced and decent quality too. It’s a convenient option generally, though about a 25 minute walk to the centre of Girona - though buses are available if you don’t want to take a taxi or have a car.

This was my first stop in Spain on a solo trip. The staff are amazing, even going so far as to check on me to see if I was okay when another guest was giving me a lot of attention. Would highly recommend for solo female travellers!
Location is about a 20min walk to old town. Not the most scenic walk as it goes by big box stores and an hospital, but open and safe. The bus stops right in front of the hotel as well, and is a cheap, easy option as you can simply tag on with your phone.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, the pool is great and absolutely not heated.Gym has everything you need for a good travel workout and there is a sauna as well, and you can utilize the pool as a cold plug if you are there in late October. Jacuzzi was amazing and available for a small additional fee.
Restaurant has great food and the staff make you feel totally at home.

Great 3 star hotel situated outside of the main area of Girona.
Miguel was absolutely amazing, helpful and kind and really made my stay special. Muchas gracias Miguel!!
Rooms are bright with good air con, comfortable beds and big private bathrooms. I had to move rooms during my stay from a single room to a triplet so I can say quality and comfort was the same regardless of size. ( moving rooms was irritating on my last night as the hotel was not sold out but not a big deal as I travel light and just left my suitcase in storage )
Pool and pool area is lovely to relax by at any time of day. Honesty bar in the lobby is handy for wine by the pool (10E for a mini bottle) or coffee (1.5E) in the morning ( rooms have instant coffee but may not be caffeinated depending on what housekeeping leaves).
It is by a hospital & busy road but the hotel was quiet. Checkin and checkout was not the best, after chatting with other guests, it seems to really depends on who is working the front desk.
I took the train to Girona and walked to the hotel. It was 28/30 degrees- takes 25 min and you walk under the train tracks on a beautiful bike/walkway to a park- cut through a paved shaded park path to the bridge then walk 10 min in the sun ( side walk by shopping ) or in the shade ( on road bike path) to the hotel.
Walking into town for dinner (highly recommend txalaka Girona) or to explore was safe and easy. I really enjoyed the walk. Other guests walked or took a bus in. I also took the train to Figueres and a bus to Costa brava (with some tips from Miguel!) so this hotel was a great base to explore more.
I will stay again. It is a perfect escape.

Hotel accepts up to 2 pets per room with supplement of 10€/pet and night.
Can not leave it alone in the room, neither access the swimming pool area and restaurant. There are common spaces where guests can stay with them while respecting the rest of other guests.
We asked at reception and they said just to use room towel. So it wasn't a problem.
Sorry I cannot answer that. I didn’t see any in the hotel when we were there. It would be best to check directly with the hotel.
Hi, walk is approx 15-20 min. Also, you can take regular bus. They are frequent enough. Just ask in reception which is the best for your destination. I think there are 2 routes to get to the city center from this hotel.
Have a nice stay!
Hello! First of all, thank you for your kind interest in our hotel. Please be informed that we dipose of a large parking right in front of the hotel, what is big enough to park your car with the caravan.
Hope to see you soon!
Best regards,
