We booked this hotel with some trepidation after reading the mixed reviews but we had an excellent night's stay. The only problem for us was uncomfortable pillows, other than that the staff were helpful and friendly, and our room was on the 7th floor and had a little roof terrace which had great views up to the old quarter and...

We booked this Hotel for a number of reasons, 1. It's proximity to the train station which was good 2. We only required an quick overnight stay between arriving from the airport in Girona and then leaving the next morning by bus so wanted something cheap 'n' cheerful. There were no available rooms in the 'gran Ultonia' so we booked...

We found the Ultonia to be a great hotel regarding position, value for money, facilities and accessibility. Although billed as outside the old town it is just a two minute walk to the restaurants and old city bustle. If you are arriving by car this is ideal – well signposted, secure underground garaging. The hotel is modern and very clean;...

The 3 star hotel gives great value and is within easy walking distance of the historic city centre. It is very clean and offers affordable parking. Our room had only a small internal window so had no view but was nice and quiet. We did not avail of breakfast which was €12.50 each but got a satisfactory alternative closeby for...

Nice option if you want to stay one-two nights in Girona. On the half way from Train/Bus station and old city - no need to use public transport. Rooms are a bit musty but quiet and clean. May be a queue at reception at peak hours.

Very professional and friendly staff. It was cheap so we didn't expect it to be amazing, but it was actually very proper. The staff were always there to help us with directions or ordering a taxi. The room was very clean and well-equipped. Big windows with a nice city view. The entrance lounge looks luxorious and impressive.

Unfortunately we only stayed at this hotel for one night but it was a lovely stay. Clean, modern, well located hotel with helpful staff and great bathrooms (which is always a good thing!). Girona appeared to.be a lovely town too, but as we were stopping just one night we didnt have much time to explore. Take the main road on...

Great location with short term parking at the front door to check in, then 16E per night in their underground garage. Desk staff friendly, efficient and English fluent. They gladly provided a full shopping bag of ice at no charge. Hair dryers available on loan. Nice room, nearly on the corner of the building though not the one with the...

It's probably fair to say it's only within walking distance of the train station if you have no luggage, but once you have that out of the way it's an easy stroll into town. I agree with others that it's very confusing having two hotels (Ultonia and Gran Ultonia) using the same reception and other facilities, and although we had...
