We have never stayed here before but would recommend to any one. The staff very kind couldn't do enough for us the buffet was very nice and plenty of it. The room was clean and cosy no kettle but plenty of facilities on site.
Not a bad location, great for a short stay.
Wifi is free!
However very uncomfortable beds I know it's budget but awful mattresses!
If you want to go into the town and explore its about 15 mins to walk and very safe.
The Ibis Budget Hotel in Girona is definitely a nice hotel: very nice bedrooms, and the quality of sleeping was really god.

Suits those with a car
Wifi was ok
Restaurant food wasn't great but then Spanish food is pretty dodgy
Ok for a night
It is near the motorway and fit for purpose. There is a small restaurant, which serve a buffet and everything is OK, but not a gastronomic experience.
Room clean and sufficient. Breakfast is selfservice and OK.

I can't really help much as we usually drive to all the hotels. It's not a bad walk to town from the Ibis though. It's a lovely town and downhill on the way there!! I tend to find buses are a bit hit and miss, whilst taxis and trains are quite reasonable.
You should be able to get to Barcelona on the train in about 1 hour but I'm not sure about the airport. If you are time limited, you may be better getting a taxi. The city tour "hop on and off" bus in Barcelona is worth using if you're not sure where you want to go.
