My wife and I stayed at Hotel Nord 1901 when we visited Girona and were very pleased with the choice we made. The hotel, room and all premises were impeccably clean and also quite appealing. We would like to highly commend Nerea (who very professionally / friendly checked us in when we arrived) as well as Jaume and Pedro who were very hospitable and helpful. We do not want to miss giving our compliments to the Housekeeping and Breakfast room Staff members who were excellent and offered their great service and quality. A lovely hotel just around the corner from placa independencia.
Our room was enormous as was the bathroom which had separate lavatory and shower sub-rooms off a main bathroom containing a very large bath tub and sink / console.
We didn't have time to enjoy the swimming pool which is small but beautifully set within a courtyard behind the hotel surrounded by sun loungers.
We also didn't stay for breakfast as we had had a large meal the day before; we found that a cheap coffee and pastry in the placa offered a much cheaper and also very authentic experience.
We arranged parking with the hotel who have a deal with a local carpark. Getting into the carpark is extremely tight and involved doing a 3 point turn on a steep ramp with fewer than 10cm either side of the car at some points. If you're driving there I suggest a small car if possible.

Hotel is located less than 20 min walk from train, bus station. It’s situated on a quiet street but close to old city, nearby Eiffel Bridge. At time of booking there was no standard room available, so we booked Junior suite, on arrival we were upgraded for free to Suite. Room and bathroom was spacious, spotless with great coffee and tea facilities, pool towels, gowns and slippers. Main reason to book this hotel was its position and swimming pool. Pool is on smaller size, but it’s great to relax after long day of walking in town. Martina on reception was very helpful to advise where to visit and to book restaurant. Breakfast is on average side. Taxi to Girona airport costs us £33. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Tucked away on a side street in a challenging driving location from main streets. Well appointed small rooms. We had an interior room so we’ll insulated from any noise. Very nice breakfast in a garden setting next to the pool. Be sure to note that hotel parking is an additional 21€ nightly. I think there is free parking a short walk away, but we didn’t choose to seek it out. The only glitch in the stay, not the hotels fault, a guest decided to smoke in a non smoking hotel and their cigarette smoke set off the fire alarm at 3am. To the hotels credit, they had things under control in minutes and hopefully fined, or better yet kicked the offender out on the street.

Located a short walk from the very centre of Girona, with restaurants and shops very close by, Hotel Nord 1901 is a beautiful cosy hotel that gives you a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.
Room was large, bed very comfortable, bathroom was large with thermostatic shower, bath robes and all that you need. Clean place, good ambiance, well done to those behind this hotel.
The only downside was that the toilet seat was broken or not well installed and that the shower mixer is round and can make it tricky to turn round when your hands are wet and soapy.
Would stay again here, nice staff, good price, good location.

Lovely boutique hotel located just a short walk from all the historical sites of old town Girona.
Rooms are large and the super king size bed was really comfortable (and wasn’t two singles pushed together which can be annoying).
Breakfast was a nice selection of meats, cereals, bread, fruit and pasties with a hot counter of omelette and bacon.
The hotel has a small pool which is really welcome after a hot day walking the sites but the only thing that lets it down is the pool is in need of a clean with grit at the bottom of the pool and a build up of sun cream along the edge, otherwise it’s an excellent hotel in a beautiful city that is well worth visiting.

We really enjoyed our one night at Nord 1901. It's within walking distance of everything you'd want to see in the middle of old Girona and yet it's both stylish and modern. The staff are quite friendly and helpful--we got upgraded to a larger room with a view of the pool and garden area, which was much appreciated. Breakfast was very good too. Girona is a very charming city in Catalonia with a ton of fantastic history dating back to the ancient Romans, and Nord 1901 is a very nice hotel from which to base your trip.

A dependable three star hotel in the heart of Girona. The reception was very friendly, we had the pleasure of interacting with several staff members and they were all very helpful. The hotel can arrange private underground parking for you (50 meters away), do email them in advance and reserve a parking spot. The rooms are quite big, and the cleaning staff do a thorough job everyday. The decor can be a little tired in some places, but given the rate they charge it's acceptable. The only downside is that the pool was very small (only for dipping) and the water inside was quite murky during this summer. However it was very cold and quite refreshing when it was 38C outside in the summer! Walkable to all top sights in Girona. There is no need to take breakfast in the hotel, as there are several top cafes 5 minutes walk away. Make sure you take the time to try all the wonderful restaurants in Girona!

Extremely happy with our choice of Hotel Nord 1901 for a short staycation. Location is central to all of Girona’s highlights including restaurants, cafes & bakeries. Rooms are spacious, comfortable & quiet; bathroom/shower clean, stocked with good counter space; ample closet space. Staff is very friendly, informed & helpful (thank you Martina & Jaume) - made us feel welcome Could use nespresso machines & tabs in the rooms to further enhance the experience. The pool is refreshing & relaxing especially on these 35+ July Girona days. Met/exceeded all expectations & made us want to come back.

Ok so parking is an issue. But otherwise this place is clean, comfortable, elegant and absolutely perfect for walkers or cyclists. Service and hospitality is very personalized and despite covid precautions it was warm and friendly. María at breakfast and above all Gemma Morales who is the deputy Manager but played the role of receptionist (a result of covid lockdown) was so amazing that I asked her to marry me about a dozen times. Unsuccessfully because she’s engaged to a VERY lucky guy. Stay at Hotel Nord. A great value for a hotel that is super well located (again) and very elegant. The pool is heavenly in the summer heat.

Yes you have full use of the hotel facilities such as the pool, bar, coffee shop, patio. The apartments are opposite anyway so just a 10 metre walk. Its a great hotel, you will really enjoy it. Message me for the top 3 Resteraunt’s in the locality
