Main advantage is being close to the estacio aerobusos, train and bus station, 5 minutes distance by walking.
Another advantage is that the area around the hotel is packed with little amazing shop, food and shopping depending on your interest altogether. You can find near by cosy cafes, restaurants and any other interesting patiserias, I'd recommend just down the street a "BIO letteria" delicious dairy products, the pasteis con cheso, a sort of cheese cake its amazing... ah and the mango mousse...
On the low side, the hotel is really old, if you are sensitive to noices I'd say you better lodge some place else, plenty of places to stay around!I'd suggest you skip the breakfast its 7€ and really nothing interesting to eat, well now if your in a hurry...anyway you need to announce the reception about your intention to have it served, otherwise...they don't serve it!
I had been given a map and some guidance as to what to visit! They cleaned the room everyday, but no changing sheets, just towels and general cleaning.
So, all in all the hotel purpose is to crash in a have a short stay, for me as I care more about visiting and finding my own way around there was no problem and had really no great expectation!
Keep in mind that GIrona is a such a little jewel of a city that any stay worths staying even when just for a short period of time!
Love you Girona!
The room was on the fifth floor and accessed by a small lift. There was a faint musty smell in the room on arrival but this seemed to disappear after I opened the window and had been in there for a while. The bed was vey firm. The bathroom appeared to be new and the shower was excellent. Towels were replaced each day.
It was very noisy first thing in the morning, as although the room was at the back of the hotel it was located directly under what would seem to be the owners accommodation. I could hear the distinctive tones of the washing machine on the spin cycle.
There is free Wi-Fi available but on the fifth floor it was very intermittent and it was easier to come down to the spacious guest lounge near reception to access it.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, with some speaking better English than others. But this hotel's main attraction is it's proximity to the bus and train station! Just a five minute walk. Girona itself is a lovely town with a good feel to it and a great base to explore the surrounding region.
Helpful and service minded personal. Possible to park car in garage for 15EUR/day.
Clean rooms. Silent. Did not eat. No water offered in room. No mini bar, no safe in room.
Small room. Poor view.
