Living in Eixample just a few metro stations away from the centre of Barcelona meant that we felt a part of the local community and after a day in the midst of a city that's always crowded it was a joy to eat locally. Liz and Tony, the apartment owners were always available for advice and we enjoyed all the... More

We were visiting Barcelona for our wedding anniversary (25th as you ask) and found the Patio online. Elizabeth & Toni were hugely helpful and informative, pointing us in the right directions and providing a vast wealth of information. The room was warm, well furnished and stylish. The bed was perfect and the room was clean and well presented. Our room... More

An amazing, cozy place to stay. Charming owner, clean and stylish rooms, all very nice quality: furniture, decoration, bedding. Super comfortable bed, we were sleeping much longer than usual, almost missed the breakfast! Food is also very nice. Highly recommended!!

The Patio is a very nice 2 room hotel with a shared bathroom. Helpful owners, nice healthy breakfast every morning, and a quiet location, very near a subway stop and also close to Sants estacion. Highly recommended.

If you want to live like a local, the Flat is the place. Convenient to the L5, so easy to get anywhere (about 20 min to get to Gothic Quarter, 1 stop from Sants Estacio so it is easy to get to and from the airport). Liz is great and very helpful. The place is well located and the tenants very nice. It was a great value for money as it's way cheaper to other B&B we looked at. The room we stayed in was nicely decorated and we enjoyed the coolness of it at night thanks to the fan (there's A/C if needed though). Overall a great experience.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Patio is a cosy two room B&B tucked away in the inner courtyard of a larger building in the Ensanche neighbourhood. The B&B is totally separate from the owners' home, maintaining privacy, but with a connecting door in the kitchen. The main room of the B&B has a sofa where guests can sit and relax, and a table that seats all the guests, where the breakfast is served. Guests are welcome to make themselves a coffee or tea at any time during the day. One of the highlights of the B&B is the patio just above the guest rooms, where there is a table, chairs, umbrella and plants. Perfect for a sunny break during the day or for relaxing with a glass of wine and a book in the evening........ ... more   less
