My husband and I spent two nights here and were impressed with the hotel location and quirky surroundings of bars, bakery’s and the like. The cocktail bar downstairs is a great place for a nightcap as the guy who makes them clearly knows his stuff.

Arrived 2pm had to return 3.15 for a table. Set lunch 11.95 packed with locals. Disappointed in limited menu but good value in lovely setting. Evening bookable with a la carte menu which we would like to try another time.

Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day
forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
