Room looked good but the matress was lumpy and old. It supossed to be someone at the reception in the morning but when we checked in and advise the receptionist that we needed a little ramp for my cousin to be able to access the main dolor with her wheelchair, she dissapeard to never return. As a consequence my cousin and her wheelchair spent 2 days in the hostal room. If you expect any kind of customer service at this property be advise: they dont have ANY

The location is very convenient for sightseeing. Walking distance to Casa Batilo, Casa Mila, Sagrada Familia and short metro ride to Parc Guell, Palau Guell, Montjuic castle, train to Montserrat etc. The area is vert safe for walking at night. There are many restaurants walking distance - our favorite being Vintuis (tapas) and casa Amalia (paella). There is also a wonderful bakery "365" around the corner that opens at 6 am so you can pick up your croissants and excellent picnic lunch sandwiches. Staff are very helpful and gave us good directions on how to arrive from the airport using RENFE train. There is an electrical kettle in the room. The coffee provided was only decaf but we brought our main favorite instant coffee. The room was very clean, sheets and towels fluffy. There is no shampoo so bring your own. V highly recommended.

We were contacted by the hotel a few days before our booking to ask what time we would be arriving. After informing them that it would be 11pm on the Thursday night we were then told that reception closed at 9pm and therefore we would not be able to check in until the next morning. Despite us asking numerous times whether someone would be able to meet us with a key, or whether we could get the code for the front door and someone could leave a key for us, the hotel was not willing to fulfill either of these basic requests. After the hotel refused to refund us our booking, we were forced to book a different hotel for the first night at considerable expense and check in to Hostal Natura the next day. On check-in we were then given an 'emergency number' in case we lost our key which we could ring and someone from the hotel would meet us to let us in. Unbelievable. This must have slipped their minds earlier in the week. Absolutely shocking customer service, would not recommend to anyone.

Context: We have a standardised and very well-defined scoring method. This makes it easier for you to become familiar with how we rate places. Of course, there's always a room for a little flex because we have feelings too. Please don’t hesitate to ask us any questions or tips. We love to help our family and friends (this includes you!) make the best memories ;) Location 5/5: The accommodation is in a great location and 5-10 minutes walking distance to everything. Great bars, charming local coffee shops, the shopping district, several tourist hot spots. Service 4/5: The staff are friendly and very helpful. We were greeted with a smile every time we walked past the reception. There isn't much in the way of a concierge (it's a hostel after all) but the staff did go out of their way to help us by making calls to places and translating our requests in Spanish where the internet wasn't enough. Room 4/5: We had a double room facing the back of the building. The room was very spacious, with basic decor, double bed and simple bedding. The bathroom was clean intimately small. The bathroom was stocked with a mini hairdryer, average shower with sufficient pressure and hot water. Overall, it was nice. Even though we were on a busy road in the middle of Barcelona, the room was quiet for a good night sleep. Cleanliness 5/5: The entire building was well maintained and cleaned well every day we were there. We didn't eat at the accommodation so couldn't comment on that. Overall experience 4/5: A great stay. Central, friendly, clean and charming. Definitely recommended,

Hi, I’m farah from indonesia. I spent 2 days in barcelona because we’re on eurotrip in this summer (me and my mom) and our experience during in barcelona was sooooo amazing. This hotel was so nice and also the staff also super friendly thanks to mirriame (if I’m not mistake) and also helpful. The location very strategic. Near from everywhere (city Centre, bus stop, metro). The cleanliness is super clean. Will stay in here again when i visit barcelona for sure ☺️.

Hostal Natura Barcelona is not a 5-star hotel but it receives 5 stars from us in its category for its clean presentation, bright room, convenient location near the airport bus, Metro stations, and great dining options (plus walking distance to the Sagrada Familia if you don’t mind a 1.5km stroll), and above all its very friendly service. Staff member Miriam helped make our stay most enjoyable - she was very warm and welcoming, and kindly stored our bags prior to check-in. She was also very helpful in suggesting places to visit and how to reach them. We enjoyed our stay very much, thank you Miriam! Gabriel & Penny

The hostel was very good, the administrator was very nice and helpful. The location is near the center, different sightseeings are reached in walking. Our departure was early in the morning, but it wasn’t a problem to leave the key. Also there were no issues entering the hostel and room late at night

It was not a good experience. I booked the Double Room with Queen Bed. The room DOES NOT MEET THE CRITERIA mentioned on the site: - The room DOES NOT have a balcony (although it has one on the pictures) - The window is very very small and overlooks another wall. There is almost no daylight in the room. Forget the sunlight in the morning. - the room window overlooks other wall, pipes and sewage system - The room is DEFINITELY NOT soundproff. Walls are very thin and you can hear other people walking, talking, slamming the door. - The air conditioning works on one temprature - SAME for the whole hostel. You can not adjust it. It gets either very hot or very cold in the room.

Response from HOSTAL NATURA B, Director General at Hostal Live Natura Barcelona
Responded 2 Oct 2017
Dear guest, thank you very much for sharing your experience with us. The truth is that we are very surprised for your comments since we remember perfectly through the hostel and we already inform you upon check-in that there were different types of room and you did not understand it. When you arrived at the hostel you gave many problems. First, we informed you that the room assigned was interior because you asked for a quiet room. Here we are not deceiving anyone. Photographs are exactly the hostel room. On the subject of the iron, we do not understand why you say it so instead of requesting it at the reception during your stay: we would have given to you one which are available for our guests. Your comment is unfair and does not help us to improve. For your next stay in Barcelona, we recommend that you book at a five star hotel which will satisfy all your needs and pay the corresponding price. Thank you and best regards.
