Hotel is very near Montjuic. The rooms are well kept, new, comfortable. Good value for money. We didn't take breakfast there. We asked for a baby cot and everything was ready when we arrived and checked in. The Metro is 500 meters from the hotel. From there you can go to the Ramblas and the center of Barcelona.

Very clean, room large enough, bed comfortable, location convenient (2 minute walk) to shopping mall (very common/typical shops and restaurants) with great views of Barcelona. Location great for watching the magic fountain show (2 minute walk). Convenient to metro. You probably should not expect to walk to the Ramblas or to down town main post area (where common tours leave),...

A well situated business hotel which would be great for solos or couples especially if you get a business discount. Very well equipped rooms, lovely beds and bathrooms, and providing you get one on the inside you will sleep well. But don't rely on the booking system to deliver this, get there early and ask. My e mail request for...

Location: Very convenient, close to the center, easy access to subway and a big shopping mall. It is on the Gran Via though, which means a big road with busy traffic. You might want to ask for a room which is not facing the street. You can also take a bus directly to the airport (A1 for T1 and A2...

Got a good price on this hotel from Late Rooms.com. As mentioned in earlier reviews, it is very easy to get to if you are using the Airport bus. The stop is almost outside the hotel but make sure you avoid doing what we did which was to walk in the wrong direction towards the Plaza d'Espanya. The person at...

In September 2011 we went on a Western Mediterranean Cruise on the NCL Epic, stopping to visit various places. The tour operator booked us overnight into this hotel prior the boarding the ship. The hotel is centrally situated, easy walking distance to the historic centre of Barcelona, including some of the attractions. There are tourist bus routes situated nearby so...

While on a holiday with my wife, I didn't want to take a chance on renting out an apartment, so I chose this hotel for its location, and I was pleased. The room seemed new and clean, with the kind of interesting floor plan and modern decorations that I like. A blackout curtain covers the large window at the touch...

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
