Hotel Ayre was located right near the Metro making it easy to get around the city. Across from a shopping mall and good restaurants. The hotel was very modern and clean. They even had our room ready for us at 8:30 in the morning which was amazing. The buffet breakfast was delicious - it even incuded Champagne and OJ! Great...

We stayed at the 6th floor from the side that does not face the street.Large room with equally large bathroom. Very clean with no noise from outside or the other rooms. Only complains, the heating was intense, and the free wifi connection never worked.

I stayed at this hotel for one night, post cruise. The location was great for getting to the airport and all of the "touristy" stuff was a short metro trip away. There were not many options in the area for restaurants, we ended up getting hotdogs and french fries for dinner. Although, there is a great little bakery a couple...

Service is good. I sometimes pester them about directions around Barcelona and they gladly help. Some standard stuff are lacking sometimes in the bathroom and have to ask and they come up with it pretty quick. The hotel is clean and design modern. Free wifi but good enough for low data usage only like browsing and email stuff, no multimedia...

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
