I stayed in this 1 star hotel for one week in November. I only needed a room where to sleep and eventually have a breakfast. I didnt expect much but I was surprisingly afected by the good ratio quality/price. This hotel, very central and easy...More
No frills is a good description. My husband and I love to stay here when we are cruising out of Barcelona. It is fairly convenient to the port and to walking around the city. That said, my snooty sister slept in her clothes. If you're...More
First of all, don't be fooled by the 1 star! This place is more than that! The superior room was very nice and fresh! A balcony facing inner yard! Big bathroom. A little fridge. Air condition . Very comfy beds! Fresh bedlinnen and towels!
For some reason this hotel was cheaper than any Airbnb in Barcelona, so we booked it solely based on it's great location. Having no expectations at all, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was a great budget hotel, close to the metro, many...More

With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

Firstly,I believe Krista has her locations mixed up and may be refering to Palau Güell, which is quite close. Parc Güell is at the top of Barcelona ,compared to the hotel mentioned being down near the port. You will find this hotel very well situated for sightseeing places such as the ramblas, the cathedral, the gothic part of the city(it´s actually in the gothic area) at the top of the ramblas in Plaza Catalunya, you could get on the tourist bus that takes you to parc Güell among other spectacular sights such as Sagrada familia church.
