An average 3 stars max. Limited towels (1 for each guest) while i am used to a plentitude of towels and maybe a couple of bathrobes too. We needed to ask extra towles every day.
Limited bath supplies (soap bath gel and shampoo).
Hard mattress i guess covred in some sort of plastic since every movement caused a squeakkkk. Expect back pain when you wake up
No mini bar if you are thirsty at night
No complimentary coffee or tea.
Safe with a key (!) which i guess you had to ask the reception (we did not need it anyway)

Nice building and convenient location though

Friendly staff, great value breakfast. We were in room 006. It is a large interior room with a large bathroom and a great shower. The hotel is not very expensive, and for what we got it was a great value. The rooms are of varying size yet all cost the same, so I would recommend asking for as large a room as is available.

The hotel is a beautiful building in a very good location near the port, Columbus monument, Las Rambla and the Gothic Quarter. The former main entrance is particularly beautiful. It's a shame that some of the interior areas have been overly modernised so that they are now not in keeping with the period of the property, even though functional for their purpose- e.g. the overly modern reception. My room was clean and had a very nice spatious bathroom. My booking was for a room with a double bed and a single bed, however I received a room with three single beds. The staff during my stay were helpful. I would stay again.

This hotel is in such a great location, very close to the metro and to La Rambla, so its is easy to get everywhere, but far enough off the main streets to be quiet at night. Bed was clean and very comfortable but most importantly, the showers were great! Huge rainfall shower head with perfect pressure and endless hot water, a rarity for Europe and hugely appreciated! Also it is very close to the waterfront which made it a perfect spot for morning running. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It did not have the feel like a 4 star hotel. We had an inside room. The window looked out onto an atrium with very little daylight and opposite this was a corridor that people walked down. The windows are frosted glass, so there is no view. It makes the room feel very dark and the colour of the decoration and furnishings did not help. The bathroom was functional but did not contain any 4* toiletries but were acceptable.
Breakfast was well laid out but allowed the cooked items to go cold very quickly the service was also not 4*. The building itself is very nice and the location is excellent and a great deal of improvement could be achieved without spending too much money to bring it to a 4* hotel. There is no bar to have a drink at and no meals other than room service. Bed was a bit uncomfortable my liking and on the small side for that class of hotel. Just a pity that the hotel group have not invested sufficient funds to make it 4* given the quality of the building and its location.

This hotel has charged me, money has left the bank, then the very next day they tried to charge me again then cancelled my booking, now they won’t refund me. So they decided to reinstate my booking without checking with me also they won’t refund me. Robbery? Utter shambles. This is against the Consumer Protections Act.

Although it is in good lication, close to sea and La Rambla, I was terribly disappointed by the room I was given. This room has no windows outside, ergo, no fresh air. I think it was just improvised as a room (avoid at all cost room 111). Its windows are to a kind of a huge hall (probably a former internal courtyard which was added a ceiling) where everybody from the other rooms passes. The window of the room is actually a glass wall. I could see from my bed the people crossing this hall, which was incredibly uncomfortable, as it completely lacks privacy. And it's incredibly noisy.
Plus, there was no water in the minifridge, so if you're thirsty in the night, well, die. I don't know what makes this hotel a 4 star besides the location.
The breakfast was good, the wifi poorest.
The room 111 should never be given again.
All in all, I would never book again this hotel.

Spent three nights in Barcelona, mainly for business. Can't beat the location, This is a decidedly Catalan hotel, not the Four Seasons or the Ritz, but extremely comfortable, large room (by European hotel standards), great bed, modern bathroom with wonderful shower, and strong continuous Internet service. Just one block from the Basilica of Our Lady of Mercy, and a cafe with outdoor seating to enjoy the sea breeze. Now planning a return visit.

We came with a group of 25 from Greece.
The good parts where the breakfast buffet&the location(near las ramblas and Barceloneta)
The bad parts are THE STAFF. The front desk are so unfriendly. The cleaner was not polite at all. She threw away my Gucci shopping bag with the Gucci box and certificates that I had all together next to my bed. After arguing with the reception they found the shopping bag then suddenly they found my box but without my certificate instead the box was full of maps and tickets(I was scocked and no one apologised).
At 10.01 a lady came at breakfast SCREAMING that 10.00 the buffet closes.
I work in tourism industry and this is so un professional.
The rooms are small and smell so bad
The wifi poor and weak.
Last but not least we were caring our suitcases to the stairs . OMG
I don’t recommend it!
