I went to Barcelona in Nov. 2017. The Hotel is perfectly located to explore the touristic heart of this amazing city. Close to the harbour and only a few steps from “La Rambla” you are in the middle of the things. Connection to the subway...More
We stayed in the medincelli hotel on our trip to Barcelona recently. This is a poor hotel and definitely not a 4star. They seem to have spent most of their money on the reception area which is quite nice but that's about it. The rooms...More
Just minutes walk away from the beach. We had a lovely balcony with the room, that over looked the garden area at the front. Perfect stay, would recommend and stay again. The room was nice and spacious too.
Room was clean and updated bathroom. Room had a tall window with small
balcony that overlooked a small plaza. Lovely small hotel on a quiet
street. Close to cruise port and 1 block to Las Ramblas.
We did not do breakfast at the hotel which...More

With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

Hi Kathryn, Hotel Medinacelli has about 5 floor levels with two street facing sides. The streets are generally not busy....both pedestrian and traffic wise. The front of the hotel overlooks a garden square. All buildings in this area are about 5 storeys tall, so no city views. My room had an opening door which faced the side street...no balcony as such. I'm not sure if the hotel guarantees rooms with street views.
