Stayed in this hotel for one night in Barcelona prior to embarking on a cruise. We arrived a little early and had to wait until the published check in to go to the room. The front desk staff were a little aloof but polite. The room was a good size and a crib was present as we requested. There was... More

Staff were great - really helpful and friendly. Restaurant is lovely, again with great staff. Location is brilliant - close to everything with some nice little bakeries right opposite and some great bars just round the corner.

A nice hotel with a beautiful roofterrace with a pool. It is only a short walk in to the centre and la Rambla. The hotel is surrounded with small streets with nice restaurangs and bars. Clean and nice rooms. Helpful personell! A very nice and cosy restaurant in the hotel.

We have just had a lovely 3 night stay at the hotel. Good service and staff very helpful. Room clean and tidy (triple room with friends) and lovely added toiletries including toothbrush and toothpaste if needed! Central location (Gothic Quarter) for the beach and La Rambla and a tube stop right at the end of the road. We ventured up... More

One of the better hotels I have stayed in in Barcelona. Well positioned for the main areas of Barcelona. Hotel modern and clean and good value for money considering where it is. Friendly staff on reception and in the Restaurant.

A very nice hotel in a good neighbourhood. About 10 minutes walk from 'La Rambla'. To be honest, the street where the hotel is and all surrounding Streets and alleys are in fact much nicer than the overcrowded Rambla. Clean and specious rooms. Pretty good and not to expensive breakfast (about € 10,--)breakfast. On top of the hotel is a... More

A lovely hotel, situated in the middle of a series of lanes full of small shops and museums. It has all you need including a roof terrace with plenty of seating and a pool, perfect for re-charging your batteries in the afternoon before heading out in search of your evening meal. Whilst the rooms are simple, they are roomy and... More

After a 10 day stay in Barcelona we needed one additional night before flying home. We booked online and got a great rate of 95 Euros. Super clean, friendly, large king size bed, terrace off room, pool and patio on the roof! A great last minute deal in Barcelona.

We spent 3 nights here in October. Great location, out of the way of all the tourists! Close to a metro line but within walking distance of most major attractions. Free toiletries and water in the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only problem was that our safe was broken. They offered us a safe in the luggage room, but... More

We were very well received at reception then after booking in we went to our room which was not to our request [as specified by our travel agent] so I went back down to the reception desk and explained this to them. They were very understanding and put us in another room without hesitation - which was fantastic. There were... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
