Hotel and rooms were clean and spacious and situated in an ideal location. Everything within walking distance. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend and would stay again if visiting Barcelona in the future!

This is a very decent 3 star hotel with a very nice breakfast in the heart of the city! You can walk to most of the important venues, museums or historical places. There are plenty of restaurants near by and the most important thing to me (since we had a toddler with us) was 24/7 supermarket right across the street....

I usually have a problem with hotels dimmed lights. Gran Ronda is one of the very rare hotels I stayed at with extra bright rooms. My room had a street view and a balcony. It was very comfortable. Very good prices. The location is also perfect. 24/7 supermarket available across the street. The hotel is surrounded by local restaurants, banks,...

I booked this hotel as a package with my flights and all together it was a great value especially in regards to the location. I was honestly walking distance from almost all the tourist destinations and I did just that - walked the city from the hotel (metro is nearby if you really need it though). I was a single...

Good value for money in centre of Barcelona. Near to the university and excellent transport links. You can walk down to the hop on hop off bus tours as well. Pretty clean rooms, and good value for money. Would recommend it..

Though not all bells and whistles this hotel is everything you need Friendly helpful staff Great breakfast buffet Room clean and comfy and despite being on the front of the building the road was no noisier than the one outside my own home even though it is a busy central city street The location is moments from a bus or...

This place is pretty basic and a bit dated. It's well placed in central Barcelona, you can walk to the main attractions or take a cheap taxi ride. The road outside is noisy but then this is the middle of a big city. We didn't try the breakfast, instead we'd head out to Las Ramblas and enjoy something from a...

You should confirm that you have a room with a window. Some of the rooms don't have windows that face outside. The room I got had a small balcony that backed right onto a busy street. The hotel is walking distance from the Ramblas. Plenty of restaurants and Cafes very close by. La Principal around the corner was a highlight....

If you like a place for convenience, this is the perfect place. Just 2 min walk from shopping mall and major attractions. Walkable distance to beach side(30min via Las Rambles , so not bad a walk ). But the major fall back is the noisy street! Can hear the cars even after closing all windows..

Stayed here for two nights - bad experience. The room smelt of cigarettes, bathroom of drains. Air con didn't work and was told it was off in all rooms. My room was by the road and the noise is terrible.

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
