Staying at jazz hotel now great location just a short walk from cataluyna square where airport bus drops you off. 5 mins walk from la Rambla and all tourist buses and metro. Lovely breakfast, rooms spacious and clean. Would like a few more toiletries etc. No body lotion shower caps for example.

This hotel is sited in a very busy part of the city plenty of shops and restaurants, handy for tour busses to see the city. Good selection for breakfast @ 14e good value. Excellent room with an enormous bed clean and tidy. Garage parking available but expensive at 26.62e per night but very little road side parking available. Staff excellent... More

This hotel is 2 minutes from everywhere, very central. Staff very friendly and will give any advice you need. Breakfast lovely - even included champagne!! There's a subway underneath but I recommend you go to the Good Burger Company over the road, food is great and costs just the same as a Subway. Pool on roof great asset.

Visiting Barcelona with the family Hotel Jazz was a find... Perfect location in between Plaza Universitat and Plaza Catalunya. Walking distance of most metro lines and lots of tourist locations in between good restaurants. Clean rooms, with giant smart tv and a nice bath(room). Nice rooftop pool and lounge area. Breakfast well stocked and good food though a bit understaffed... More

reception was very helpful..location was excellent!! wish breakfast had been included, but worth the 14 E a day. stayed for 6 nights, and the 1st 3 had a very uncomfortable bed. I wish I had something before, because when I brought it to manager's attention, it was rectified!!

What a great hotel. I love the style and the friendliness and the added bonus of the location, a stones throw from Place de Catalunya and its starting point for a leisurely stroll down the must-visit Ramblas. Breakfasts are a must at this hotel...just marvel at the vast selection on offer. The Jazz is central to an array of eating... More

Stayed here for 10 nights due to business. Central location near to the Plaza de Catalonia is great, but I had multiple items go missing from my room! At first I thought I was going crazy, as pairs of socks started disappearing from the wardrobe (maybe I didn't pack enough!?). But I had been working on my laptop (I had... More

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days, only returning yesterday. It is SO easy to find from the airport. We got the Aerobus into the Placa Catalunya which is ten minutes walk fro mthe hotel. We were virtually on Las Ramblas the true heart of the city. The rooms are spotless and when you close the balcony window you... More

Hotel is in the heart of Barcelona close to all tourist attractions and walking distance to main shopping area(really interesting to me :) Hotel itself has a modern interior and the rooms are matching it as well. Even tho the weather was cold so we couldn't use the pool area, pool and lounging area on top of the building were extremely... More

I had hoped for more from this hotel. It is in a central location, modern and clean but feels somehow soulless and impersonal. We were put in an internal room and it was claustrophobic and the bathroom facilities were not good. We asked to be moved to an external room which was much better. I would not recommend this hotel... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
