Good clean hotel, staff friendly. Only problem was no window and very warm for January only ceiling fan to keep you cool, hate to think what it would be like in summer, very close to all amenities and local transport

The hotel is in a great location, you can reach the center, the beach or plaza Espanya by feet or metro in a really short time. The hotel is clean and for its price it is satisfactory. Maybe the bed in double room is a little bit small, if you don't want to hug with your partner ;)

Not in the city center which is definitely a PRO for such a noisy city. The hotel is on a small quiet street. 5 min walk to the subway station, 20 min to the Rambla Street, also 20 min to the old port. We had a good room with 2 beds and our own bathroom, it was always clean, the...

My partner & I only stayed one night but that was enough! Room was VERY basic. Noise level from outside, even though we had a road facing room was quiet but that was due mainly to the situation of the hotel I think. We arrived just before midnight and I think it was change-over time for the reception staff....but both...

Horrified with the room, checked in at 1.00am and had no choice other than to stay there. Retro 70's and not in a good way. Room had no window and sheets threadbare, I slept in my clothes...no AC but fan on ceiling. Heard receptionist screaming at guest "shut up and listen to me" several times. How this place is called...

Traveling with a group of students, I had checked the reviews before our departure to make sure that we would stay in a decent place for the three days that we would spend in Barcelona. I did not know that we were in for a ride when two of the rooms were not ready as we arrived. Between the neighbors...

I am surprised by the good reviews here. I am stuck here now...worst hotel ever and they overcharged us-we paid $74 usd. Everything is dirty. Bodily stains on beds. There is an old musty smell. The first room they put us In was more like a closet...It was so dense in mildew smell with bodily fluid stains on the bes...

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
