I have stayed for one night in this hotel. There is indeed a medium level of comfort as rooms are pretty dark and leanen on bed was ripped in some parts but I have payed for a cheap room just to sleep there over the night and that's what I got. Reception ladies were nice all of them (I caught...

Booked for only a one night stay, thankfully. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, location was excellent, but all went downhill when we got to the room. Very small, felt very grubby, marks on walls, curtains were filthy and window looked into a utility area. It would take less than a day to update this small room. lick...

Stayed here on a budget, knowing I had paid not a lot for this hotel and knowing from previous reviews there were some issues, I also read lots of things on Barcelona saying not a good area etc especially at night. Used city discovery shuttle to get from the airport and was dropped off quite near the hotel but with...

3.5 rating. If you are looking for a basic place to stay in a very good location, this is your hotel. Just 2 minutes off Las Ramblas, near metro stations, makes it ideal to explore the city. Other good points: - Staff was friendly; - We stayed in room 506, it looked recently renovated and it was very clean. Disadvantages:...

Was looking for cheap and cheerful. This was OK for that. There was a problem the first morning when the water suddenly went scalding in the shower and then stopped altogether. I was left standing covered in soap. The reception offered another room to rinse off. This was great until I got there in a towel and found the water...

I stayed here for two nights on a short visit to the City. I found the reception staff to be pleasant and helpful. I was given room 602. I was not Impressed. The room had hardly any light in it at all. On our first morning, the Water had been "cut off" for some reason, without any warning whatsoever. Not...

The hotel is very central located, but with very simple comfort. I´ve been thre several years ago, the rooms have been better then and they had a buffet breakfast. There are better hostals or hotels then this, in the night it´s very loud aoutside, because of people at the place in front of.

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
