Here for evening meal, wasn't expecting much because it is in a tourist trap but we fancied sitting outside watching the activities in the square. The heaters were great. Was pleasantly surprised by the food. 2 of us had set 3 courses (approx 16 euros ) and one set tapas (approx 15 euros ) all had free alcoholic drink included....

The first impression you get with this hotel is "is this it?" its a very narrow hotel nestled into the corner of Placa Reial. However though, despite its location, the hotel has many flaws. The reception is honestly nothing special, just a front desk and about ten chairs and 4 vending machines literally selling the exact same drinks. Now to...

I stayed in Roma Reial on a university study trip place looked lovely from the outside had a amazing restaurant outside of it. The rooms were very basic we had a 5 room as there was 5 of us staying in the one room, during the night it was absolutely freezing you could not heat up at all. Half way...

We came here for a university trip for four nights at the end of January and into the beginning of February. The hotel was very basic, but because we spent all day going on study trips, and then going out at night time for drinks we didn't spend much time within the hotel so it wasn't a problem. The rooms...

Stayed here for six days, staff was wonderful, buy your tickets here at the desk for only 1,2 euros, will save you a lot of trouble in lines afterwards. The location is superb, this is the real center of Barcelona, the plaza is very pretty, lots of restaurantes and you have free tourist guides at 11:00 am. Hotel is very...

Located in a majestic square in the middle of Las Ramblas and therefore great for nightlife. Reception service is outstanding, always ready to help. The breakfast could be better as it is very limited. Ham and cheese not offered. Rooms a bit spartan but the beds are comfortable.

Perfect location. Very clean room, towels changed daily! Friendly and helpful staff. Basic facilities. Very good for the price. Would stay again definitely! Sound proofing between the rooms! Breakfast is a basic and simple, but enough.

I've been to Barcelona on many occasions and always stayed four or five star but ended up paying silly money to get to the githic quarter and port. This hotel is basic but all you need for being located in a superb central location. I can't understand anyone complaining about noise...you are in Barcelona, embrace it! Room is basic but...

Good budget hotel in a great location. Bars restraurants on the doorstep. We had a budget room which was all we needed, TV chargeable, nice bathroom. Lack of electrical sockets though! Had to unplug tv to charge phone. Breakfast included, coffee, orange juice, crossoints, bread, jam and yogurt. Served in a brick vaulted cellar.

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
