This hotel is in a perfect location, rooms adequate and a nice pool area. Unfortunately as great as all this is it means nothing if you can't trust the cleaner to not steal items from your hotel room. A necklace that my Nan gave me was stolen from the room and resulted in me having to spend 3 hours in the police station filing a report. The lady on reception was lovely and supportive but the reception manager and hotel manager were far from understanding or supportive. I was told categorically that the cleaner did not steal the necklace and there was nothing they could do. Even though quiet clearly the only people who had been in the room, which the hotel confirmed, was my partner and I and the cleaner. They were rude, showed no remorse and quiet frankly didn't care. Safe's are provided in the hotel room but we could not get ours to work and does that make it ok that anything not put in the safe is then open to be stolen? The necklace was hidden in a box that had clearly been opened and taken. Stay here if you wish but do so knowing there is a risk that anything not put in the safe may be taken. We had a Lovely break here back in mid April. Myself, my partner and my parents, Hotel is in a great location, rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel pool is tiny so not a huge bonus but still nice to have. Couldn’t fault the stuff though, front desk and bar staff were all lovely.

Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona. Stayed here with my husband for 2 nights to celebrate his 40th Birthday. The staff were so helpful and extremely welcoming. The hotel itself is very well kept and really clean. Our room was lovely especially the bathroom and I particularly liked that when the doors where shut you couldn’t hear the busy city. We loved the location as everything was in walking distance. We didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on the food but the restaurant looked clean and well kept. The only grumble and this is me being picky is the hairdryer wasn’t great and wouldn’t have dried my hair, but that’s the only fault I could find. The hotel gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I definitely would book to stay here again. …

First time travelling to Spain, and I am so glad I booked this hotel. Rooms are clean, comfy beds and pillows. Shower and water pressure are stellar. Staff is lovely and kind. Special shout out to Raquel at the front desk. She is a rockstar! Hotel is so close to the Metro and walking distance to all you need to see. 40 min walk to Sagrada Familia, and worth it to see the shops, the people and daily life. Highly recommend a stay!

We stayed here for 3 nights in April and were very impressed. The staff at reception were welcoming and friendly, they allowed us to check into our room 2 hours early. The hotel itself is modern and trendy, the room was lovely- was a big comfy bed and a balcony! It was cleaned to a high standard everyday! The hotel is in an ideal central location, and I think the price is really reasonable given this! We didn’t buy the breakfast deal, but there is a lovely place directly opposite the hotel which did really nice breakfasts! The rooftop terrace/pool area is lovely and very quiet (as is the gym) with beautiful views! Our room (509) was quiet, despite being in a busy city centre we never heard any noise from outside (or from the hotel)! Checkout time is midday which is a lot later than other hotels, which is nice and means you aren’t stressed when leaving! Would definitely book here again!…

We loved our stay at Catalonia Born for my daughters 21st birthday. Easy 25 minute taxi from the airport. The location was excellent with everything we did walking distance from the hotel. A special thank you to Raquel on reception who was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay, a real credit to the hotel. Enjoyed chilling by the rooftop pool on our last afternoon which was a real sun trap!

I almost don't want to write this review, I'd like to keep this hotel a secret because it was so good, I really could not fault it. This trip was a surprise 18th birthday present for my son, as he loves Barcelona FC and I had bought tour tickets for Camp Nou (an absolute MUST for anyone who is a fan, highly, highly recommended). When we arrived at Catalonia Born we were given a warm welcome by Raquel on Reception. The Reception area was modern, inviting and exceptionally clean. Rachel was excellent at providing all of the hotel information in a very efficient, professional and pleasant manner and for this she must be praised. I asked if we could have a twin room and this was accommodated with no fuss at all. I also asked Raquel about the best way to get to Camp Nou for the following day, which she explained. When we got to our room on the 5th floor we found it to be comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was excellent with a walk in shower, a bidet, loo, marble vanity area and a separate bath with another shower over. Both showers contained full sized shower gel, shampoo and conditioner which were pleasantly scented. There was a stocked mini fridge, flat screen TV and electronic safe inside the wardrobe, which had plenty of hanging space. The beds were comfortable and pillows and linen were all of good quality too. On our way out later we passed through Reception and Raquel had written down the Metro lines to Camp Nou for us, which was so kind. On our first night room service brought a bottle 🍾 of Cava in an ice bucket with a special note wishing my son Happy 18th Birthday from all the staff, which I thought was such a lovely touch. The hotel has a lovely bar area, and the restaurant on the lower ground floor is modern and well laid out too. Breakfast was excellent. A great choice of hot food, freshly prepared (the small chorizo sausages are wonderful), plus a wonderful selection of continental breakfast items too, plus fruit. Lots of freshly squeezed orange juice plus other fruit juices, and Cava should you so wish it. We sat on the roof top pool area on our second day and enjoyed the last of the afternoon sunshine. It is small but perfectly formed for a boutique city hotel such is the Catalonia Born. Location of the hotel in the old town is great, walking distance to Barcelona Cathedral, La Rambla, Arc Du Triomphe as well as restaurants, cafés and shops literally on the same street. This hotel is an absolute gem, a very good standard 4 star and one I will definitely be staying at again when I return to Barcelona in the future. After 20 days of traveling around Spain, this was the most welcoming of all hotels. The comfort level of the room and especially the bed was what we needed for tired bodies. The food and the quiet location is also a bonus
