Excellent on all counts. Perfect position for exploring. Very clean room. Helpful and friendly staff. Will be back again in the future. Stayed Friday and Saturday night. Managed to walk to the marina area, gothic quarter, Sagrada familia and Placa de Eapsnya. This must be approximately my 10th visit to the city and I would go back to this hotel...

We have stayed in the Andante twice now, the most recent trip being in May as we were watching Coldplay in concert. The hotel is very modern, 5 minute walk to La Ramblas, and probably a 20 minute walk to the beach. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the security is very good in the hotel as you need...

Did a four day trip with three small children to Barcelona; we booked the Andante because it offered inter-connecting rooms ('family room'). Having returned, we are delighted to have done so. The rooms were at the end of the corridor (room nos 1003 to 1004) and were behind an external door which means that we could keep the two room...

Loved it at this hotel. The location was near to the ports and restaurants. The room was spacious with a large bathroom and bath. A green hotel to boot with great breakfasts. Fabulous view from the top and a pool.

This was our second stay at this Hotel and our impression was a little less favorable, the staff were very helpful and the property was clean. The price had increased by considerably more than could be attributed to currency variations and the room seemed smaller than our previous. The location is handy to transport and walking to La Rambla and...

The toilet seat was dirty when we checked into our room. We thought it was because we asked to check in an hour early and the cleaning staff was rushed. But on closer inspection, it seemed the walls and floors of the bathroom had not been cleaned in a while, there were shoe prints and dirty spots. And the hairdryer...

A nice modern hotel just over 5 minutes walk from Las Ramblas and less than 5 minutes from the L3 Paral-lel metro stop. The rooms are compact but well designed with a decent shower, albeit with limited views. Breakfast was lovely in the hotel's private courtyard area and the rooftop pool area was also nice. There is supposedly a gym...

The hotel itself is in a good location. Within walking distance of Las Ramblas & Vella port & harbour. About 25/35 euro taxi each way from el prat airport. Hotel is very safe & secure and staff very good. The only thing is we were on the 1st Floor - so no nice views & with the colour scheme greys/whites...

Location is excellent - close to Las Ramblas and either Paral-lel or Liceu Metro stations, Placa Reial, La Boqueria etc. Staff were friendly and helpful and secure luggage room was excellent for final day. We didn't use the rooftop pool but you must see the view from the terrace, which is amazing both day and night! We didn't the gym...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
