This is my second visit to Hostel Orleans and won't be my last. Our welcome wasn't good in fact I was rather irritated by the surly chap who 'welcomed' us but apart from him the staff were very friendly and always helpful. The rooms are compact but everything you need is there and after all you want to spend time...

When I go to Barcelona this is where I stay, it is very basic but clean, simple but jet with very heplfull staff. It is very central, 20 minutes fron the Ramblas, 10 minutes from the beach at Barceloneta, 300 meters from the Underground and 20 minutes from Estacio de Nord ( bus to Girona Airport ) or Just in...

This hotel offers a good service for a good price. Don't expect any luxury, expect at least what you paid for and a little bit more. You might be surprised. We don't have any complaints. Read about the conditions because everything you need to know is online.

This is a pleasant small hotel in a tapas bar friendly area right across the street from the railway station and two blocks from a lovely park. Congenial staff. Facility would be even better if they had a lift.

This was my first time in Barcelon a and i travelled with my teenage son. I think we were lucky with the hostal. it was clean, had a great location and really friendly and service-minded staff. It was only a breakfast buffé away from calling itself a hotel.

Small, functional room with in suite bathtub shower. My room and balcony faced out across to Estacio de Franc and main vehicle/ pedestrian drag so voices and vehicle noise late into the night, garbage trucks and loitering taxi drivers very early in the morning. Otherwise, a comfortable room, well stocked common area (microwave, coffee and tea maker, computer). Two staff...

The location of the hostel is fabulous. It is right next to Parc de la Ciutadella, across the street from Estacio de Francia, and in the middle of the lovely Born area with many nice restaurants. The rooms are small and very basic but clean. Note that this hostel does not have an elevator and it is located on the...

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
