We found Jardi following a Google search of top budget hotels in Barcelona. The location of the hotel is stunning: it looks out over two small squares, one with an artist market at weekends, the other with a farmer's market (though it wasn't there whilst we were staying). Both squares have outdoor seating for the cafes/bars. The star of the...

This was a fantastic place for our four day stay in Barcelona. It's in the historic district, so it's rife with tourists (like us), however it's a block or two off of La Rambla so it is not as crazy as anything along that street! We had a room overlooking the plaza right next to Santa Maria del Pi, an...

I stayed here with my son in a twin room in June following the recommendation of a friend who lives in Barcelona. We asked for a twin room (with terrace) and enjoyed having the outdoor space to look out at the cathedral and Place del Pi. The rooms are clean and functional - just what we wanted - and for...

Fantastic location overlooking a vibrant square, good sound proofing meant a peaceful sleep. Ask for a room on the lower floor with balcony to appreciate the views. The rooms are clean and comfortable but small and basic. Inside the rooms is a third bed, disguised as a sofa, taking up much needed floor space. Unfortunately, there are stairs up to...

The hotel has a great location, close to all the major sites i Barcelona The rooms are clean and the staff is always available and helpful But, the rooms are very small, the interior is old and cheap (the beds are hard and simple) and you can hear everything your neighbours are doing- the walls are reallt thin! Despite that,...

If when in BCN your primary goal is location, El Jardi is The bestest place. Right by Ramblas,in the Barrio Gotico, in a gorgeous plaza by a church.Unbeatable. BUT if you are looking for comfort, avoid it.The rooms are as tiny as it gets. Our double bedroom occupied pretty much the room. Accessing the shower was almost Mission Impossible III....

We selected this place based on the location. It was perfect, from this location you get to appreciate the true Barcelona life. Everybody stays up until 3am and don't wake up until 10am. We had a room with a view to the plaza and though it can be noisy the doors have noise cancelling glass. So on a Friday night...

If you want to stay in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, this is a great place. Simple room, had a awesome view through the shuttered doorway balcony. We had the windows open all night, not so quiet, but was fantastic because that's what Barcelona is all about.

This is a small, simple hotel right near Las Ramblas. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. We took the walking tour that leaves from the hotel the day we arrived and that was well worth doing. Everyone I spoke to said it was worth buying up to one of the terrace rooms where you could...

This little hotel is in a great location --- next to a 14th Century Church and surrounded by two plazas, Plaça del Pí and Plaça Sant Josep Orio, in the Gothic area.
