My wife and I recently spent six nights at the Roger De LLuria while making our first visit to Barcelona and celebrating our forty-fifth wedding anniversary. The hotel fully lived up to its reputation--rooms were bright and clean, the beds firm and very comfortable, the bathroom spotless, and, important for light sleepers like me, very little noise from outside. What...

We were at Hotel Roger de Lluria for 5 days before & 1 day after our Mediterranean Cruise. Location was great, 8-10mins walk to Pl Catalunya. We had a Family Room for my family of four and a Double for my parents-in-law. The family room is situated at the back of the hotel and is quieter than the double room....

Barcelona turned out to be somewhat of a disappointment because of the massive onslaught of large cruise ships and the disgorging of thousands of passengers every day, but this hotel was a gem. A former Ritz hotel, this is a top-rate property within short walking distance of the Rambla, Plaza Catalunya, the Cathedral and the breathtaking Cathedral of the Sea...

I was in Roger de Lluria Hotel with my wife and we liked it so much because it´s a classic, traditional and quiet establishment. Room was so beautiful and classic style. The service was so polite and the breakfast was very complete. We no have any complain about this hotel.

The hotel is in the perfect location for visiting all the vacation spots one would want to see while in Barcelonia, (Gaudi Houses, Sagrada Familia Church, Music hall, Park Guell etc.). The rooms are spacious (most of them), clean and well appointed. The beds and pillow however are very very hard. When I asked for a softer pillow they were...

We found this hotel through tripadvisor. It's almost right next door to the Palace, a few steps off of Gran Via Corts ed Catalonia, so it was near public transportation as well as being within walking distance of Cathedral, Ave. Garcia, etc. Barcelona is such a fabulous city, that I wish we had stayed here longer, and if and when...

When checking in we were upgraded from a standard double room to a family room with two enormous beds, minibar (but enough space for our own drinks), safe, 40inch flatscreen tv & an iron/trouser press. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom with a two person´s massage bath (+shower), toilet and bidet. The room was on the 4th...

My family (wife, son 9 and daughter 14) stayed here both before and after our cruise. We picked this hotel due to the good reviews, but also because it had family rooms that were good for the 4 of us. We were very pleased with hotel. It was a 15-20 minute walk to the Las Ramblas (you have to go...

The Roger de Lluria is truly everything you could want in a hotel. The location is fantastic, just a 5 minute walk from the busy and popular Place de Catalunya, which is where the airport shuttle drops you off and also is the top of La Rambla, a very popular street with lots of vendors and activity. It is tucked...

We stayed six nights so the quality of staff and standard of service was important. From the Manager down they were delightful: friendly and very helpful, with excellent recommendations for restaurants and tapas bars, and conveying infectious enthusiasm for their lovely city and their Catalan culture. That makes a big difference! Hotel very comfortable. Its central location provides a convenient...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
