This is a ticky tacky hotel! No A/C...(it was 80 degrees in the room), open windows to street noise which made sleep impossible at ANY hour, a shower which overflowed out into the bedroom area, reported and ignored. Floor boards popping out from the floor, cigarette holes in the bedding, and indifferent staff. Great location, however, and we still had...

Nice hotel in a great location. Close to La Rambla, and walking distance to Gothic center, and great walks through the maze of narrow streets lined with shops, restaurants, tapas. Very nice breakfast at the hotel. Staff were quite helpful, arranged taxi's for us, stored our luggage. The hotel location puts you into the flavor of Spain, which is what...

Stayed at Rialto in September 2009 for four nights. First room we got was really bad - wallpaper thorn, the shower leaking, twin beds instead of a double bed, one of the desk doors not working etc. We asked to change it at the reception but it was midnight and the guy simply refused to deal with it, saying they...

This is a great hotel for location and breakfast. It is one minute from Las Ramblas. Breakfast selevetion is excellent. Rooms are ok- had one over looking courtyard and one overlooking small square- you don't want rooms at the from as it is on a pedestrain street and very noisy- we were there for the September festival so glad to...

We spent two separate nights here before and after a cruise. We felt it was very nicely located and everything we wanted was within reasonable walking distance, the Cathedral, Ramblas, shops, "off and on" tourist buses, tappas bars/restraunts, etc. It is a $30 Euro cab fare to the Cruise Ships and a $25 euro fare to the airport. That may...

I had booked hotel and flight through Dial-a-Flight and thought I would get a good deal. i arrived at about 7pm and they gave me a tiny room on the 1st floor with small window in one corner opening into a dark and small ventilating shaft. Very depressing. When I complained they agreed to move me to another room next...

Stayed in the Rialto after recommendations from friends who had been there before. It's in a great location, literally 2 minutes walk from Las Ramblas and the nearest metro station. We got lucky and got a suite when we checked in so we had a separate sitting room to our bedroom which was great. Staff were extremely helpful with any...

I have very recently, this week , come back from staying at The Rialto, it is definatly worth every penny, it is a hotel used by Thomas Cook, it is in thier brochure, but I book it through hotels.com and got a twin room for £52 per night.
