The staff was not very friendly, average breakfast, poor cleaning, but nice location, close to the underground station and not too far from the sea. But, it happed often that no personnel at the reception desk. However, one girl hepl me this the map and city orientation. Not food for families, I think it is ok for budget couples or...

This hotel is never going to be a real 3 star establishment.. It's dated and tired... If you want a budget hotel, this is your place. Breakfast is overpriced and quality of food was average. I would suggest not to pay the 9 euros and find a local cafe for breakfast 🍳..

Stayed for 2 nights before embarking on a cruise. Room small and very clean but adequate for a short stay. Very good breakfast with some hot items. Staff very helpful especially the man on reception who phoned our transfer company twice as they were running late for our pickup. Would stay again

The hotel is located a short walk from Glories and Monumental metro stops. The staff are good. The room was fine. It was a bit dark as the window faced the inner courtyard. However, i think you can ask for a room facing the road. There is aircon in the room, but I didn't need to use it. A safe...

Stayed in this hotel enroute to a cruise for 2 nights, room was in the basement, quite dark and cramped. Check in was good, the big guy on reception was very helpful. There only seems to be one female member of staff acting as receptionist, who also covers the bar and food / drink provision. On check out day ,reception...

Stayed here with my husband in January 2015. The hotel is in a brilliant location close to metro, historic landmarks and the glories shopping centre 10min walk away with restaurants and shops. The hotel is basic but clean. We only used it as a base but it had a TV and working air-conditioning and was quiet.

Clean, friendly and surprisingly quiet for being in the city! Bathrooms and shower were clean and nice. Only negative thing I have to say is very hard and small beds. Pillows are thinner than my comforter at home! But I think the un luxurious bedding is a thing here in Spain. And it's very close to a parking garage!

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
