My husband, daughter, mother-in-law and myself stayed last month at this wonderful B&B. Roberto was there to greet us, very welcoming and informative about the accommodation, restaurants and activities. We loved the charming rooms and the balconies overlooking the square. We met the charming Anna the next morning, while enjoying a lovely a breakfast. Highly recommended.

The coolest part of being here is that you can access anything in Barcelona while feeling a part of the Catalan culture. This plus you get to meet amazingly kind Pablo who is from Barcelona and Anna who understands the traveler experience as she came 20+ years ago and stayed. Within a 5-10 minute walk you can access transit train,...

We spent a few days at El Bacon del Baron and a great time. The location could not be any better...and the host was extremely friendly and supportive...his tips (restaurants, bars etc) were very, very good. Our room was quiet small, but very clean and and the whole floor has just been renovated. So also the shared bathrooms were very...

Me & my husband needed quick break and decided to go to Barcelona for 3 days. I chose El Balcon del Born purely on Trip Advisor reviews and ratings, and I didn't regret it at all. As soon as we booked our B&B (via email) we received a confirmation email containing all needed information (how to get there from the...

We stayed in Room 1 for 3 nights mainly after reading the reviews on here, and I can honestly say every review is correct, from the huge welcome you receive from the outset of your visit, to the almost shabby shic, fashionable accommodation. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, bright, airy and exactly as you see it on the...

El Balcon del Born was our choice because of all the wonderful reviews on tripadvisor. All the claims of excellence are true. Pablo and Anna personify hospitality at its best. Anna helped us map out our visit to make the best or our time in Barcelona. We did have a little trouble locating the front door. But when we phoned...

This B&B was a perfect place to stay for a solo traveler. I stayed for 3 nights. It was very comfortable, clean, warm, and safe. Pablo was welcoming and very easy to talk to. Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
