Barcelona is such a user friendly city and having a rental car in not a necessity. The public bus from the airport last stop is just a 10 minute walk from this hotel. Must say very convenient to the Shopping & Boqueria Mercat. definitely one of my favorite cities to visit.

The accommodations were very nice and the convenience of hotel to shopping, dining and some of the main attractions of Barcelona was a definite plus! All of the amenities were clean and did not detract from the overall experience. The staff was very helpful and offered some great suggestions for local walking adventures (day and night). This was our home...

Just spent 4 days there, great location and very pleasant staff. Very good concierge and we were fortunate to meet the GM, Mr. Meelah who rcommended some great restaurants and made our stay extra special by providing that local touch Ina friendly manner. Great base and an excellent product.

Renaissance Barcelona Hotel is a very good hotel for cruise passengers for pre-cruise or post-cruise stay in Barcelona. Like most cruise passengers arriving at the hotel early in the morning either from their cruise ships or Barcelona Airport, we had to wait for our room to be ready for afternoon check-in. So we left our luggage with the bell captain,...

Great 5* hotel in the centre of Barcelona. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Very well equiped. Staff excellent and helpful. A minor problem with the sink in my bathroom was swiftly resolved. Breakfast is good. The bar is well equiped and stocked. Nice place to stay.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. I had a problem with some lost luggage and the staff was so helpful. They went above and beyond what I could have expected. This is a very nice place and such a good location. I hope to return soon. Also, I forgot to mention the helpful staff at the front...

Stylish, clean, friendly, upscale hotel in the heart of Barcelona. Very friendly, helpful staff. Spacious, modern, very comfortable room with many amenities- espresso machine, hot plate for water, luxury bathroom-robe/slipped, large tub. Delicious daily brunch, not only limited to coffee and pastries, although they are available. The Renaissance Barcelona will be the hotel I return to!

Location is startling, half a block from Passeig de Gràci, one of Barcelona's major avenues and feet from landmarks like Gaudi's Casa Milà. Also, if you love Coffee and Tea, Stefan in the hotel's bar makes the most mouthwatering variety of cappuccino's, espresso's, latte's and others. One deduction for the rooms being on the 'smallish' side. Even for Europe standards.

First time in Barcelona and at this hotel. It is your stock standard Marriott/Renaissance experience. We had a nice large room with breakfast included (given I'm a Platinum member). The breakfast spread is good and it wasn't over run like some hotels can be in the morning. The hotel also has a decent gym which is always what I look...

Amazing rooftop bar and terrace Awesome location within walking distance to many nice restaurants and popular tourist sites The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious but the bathroom was a little dim and small. We did enjoy our stay and had such a relaxing time. We would love to come back again soon and will...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
